Blizzard,
Do not launch wow tokens in classic. I know you are testing it in the asian market, but we do not need it here on classic servers. Part of the experience of classic is grinding, and it is really destructive to this experience. On a experience level i make my first argument against it.
Retail Tokens are good for classic
Since tokens on retail still grant access to classic, and they should, we do not need tokens to be launched on classic; In fact, keeping tokens on retail only provides more incentive to be active in retail, and removing the limitation of not having them in classic will very likely jeopardize the population rates of retail and take it into an almost certainly irreversible state of inability to maintain the population there.
so from a business perspective by not having tokens in classic you keep retail alive for the day you are able to fix it, and prevent the destructive of wow.
To my community members,
You should rise up and resist this change as if it was a death blow to the game, or something worse then that which you resist class changes (Though i believe those to be good for classic).
This change is destructive, and must be rejected by us completely, unanimously, and whole-heartedly.
Damnit Blizzard why are you making me agree with this fool on even one topic?
If there’s even a word of this being implemented I’m flooding CS with complaints and ending my sub, as should anyone who cares about the integrity of Classic.
Who cares what you think? If you have a 120 on your account I dont think you should have an opinion on this, because you’re pretty clearly tainted by the retail microtransaction mentality.

Kill the bots. Let those who buy gold risk their account if thats the way they want to do it. Sanctioning it would make the issue far worse than it is now.
Chinese gamers are much more inclined to purchase in game micro transactions than EU/NA gamers are. Yes blizzard has put stuff in the Chinese WoWs store than we haven’t had, namely experience boosting potions.
That being said I think many people would be against the idea of tokens in Classic in the west. However the main thing tokens are added for is to combat gold sellers. If you could buy tokens and sell them for gold for half the price you pay a shady website then you’d stop using the third party and get your gold from blizzard.
Which are people more against? Bots and gold sellers? Or tokens? For me personally I would be OK with tokens being added for a number of reasons. 1) to get rid of the gold bots and gold sellers. 2) I simply don’t have the time to farm gold that I did in 2005, and the meta in 2020 is to use every consumable under the sun in PvE and PvP so being half way competitive means you’ll be spending a lot of gold. Tokens in Classic would help me and others in similar situations with that. (Lots of people are against the apparent play 20 hours a day to rank up in PvP, but are OK with needed to spend 20 hours a day farming gold for w/e you need.)
Another thing people don’t want tokens for is the gold inflation that’s bound to happen if they are introduced. Many consumables and items on the AH will go up in price. To that I say the inflation is already at a ludicrous level. 200 gold for a flask? Really? Tokens wouldn’t be any worse on the market than the min max culture is.
Tokens would kill the game for me just like it did in retail. Why bother playing and farming when I can buy a token. Its ok for retail since retail is forever destroyed, but keep it away from classic.
