OK, this is like, a super minor nitpick. So I suppose this is the perfect place for it.
When we create new characters, can we please default to “No Title” for title selection? I really don’t like how it auto-assigns some other title, and sometimes I don’t notice till later.
It’s very rare that I actually want to use any of the titles.
Then just move the title to no title when you make the character.
Yes. It all sounds so simple!
Until you reliably forget, and realize later that you’ve been running around for 50 levels with an “Elder” title on something cutesy and childlike, like a fox or panda. 
It’s a little amusing that every fresh character I make seems to default to the Elder title.

You actually had to do something to get the title - jenkins, probably not worth much now, but you can just change it first thing.

Sure, if you remember. But just like that “block guild invites” setting, if you forget even for a microsecond, there’s some spanker putting the invite for his crappy guild in your face!

Sounds like a good idea for an addon. There probably is something like that out there.
(Insert Copy/Paste mass whisper pitch for guild here, several seconds after the invite.)
I generally only really remember to get all my bars and auto loot turned on for a new character. Blocking guild invites and such isn’t a priority over here on WRA.
I forget to leave all the chat channels, too. Actually, I wanted to make that addon. Auto-leave all chat channels.
Sometimes you forget, and bam, there is is. Tool#39522 with rando dumbass comment of the day. It’s like a bug crawled in your ear. EWWWWW
Lumberjack title is badass, why would you be embarrassed to wear it.
I dont have names showing so I never noticed. I wonder what title I’ve been running around blindly with.

Yeah, this is the other thing people don’t realize. It can be hidden from you for a long time before you realize, if you don’t have the names turned on.
Then you realize randomly while looking at your character sheet.
Edit: I have come to the realization that I am over quota for using the word realize.
Elder? I’ve only ever seen it default to The Explorer.
The last character I created had the title “The Exalted”.
