Hello all. I’m sure you all are just going to flame me for this, but man, this issue really got me down.
I worked toward being able to make my engineering goggles, had one spark of inspiration left (used the other to order my mainhand) and was trying to be super careful, but I ran back and forth to crafting bench too many times just getting stuff together to perfect the craft, and happened to have the stuff to make the mail version of the goggles (I wear leather) and accidentally blew my spark on something I can’t wear, trade, or breakdown.
This is a time-gated process, and early in the expansion, losing such a resource is a huge detriment and a major bummer - and in my opinion, flawed and somewhat unfair. I reached out to blizzard and spoke to multiple GMs who refused to assist in any way. With this new and overhauled crafting system, I think there needs to be some way to undo a craft for a limited time after it is completed (undoing everything from the skill point and knowledge gain to the craft). If you spend knowledge, learn a recipe, or craft anything after the craft in question, it would immediately nullify this proposed “undo” procedure. Or, at the very least, while someone smarter than me contemplates a solution to this glaring craft system flaw, maybe the GMs could be a little more helpful and understanding. This whole thing totally took the wind out of my sails, and I have a hard time motivating myself to continue logging in to an otherwise fun expansion.
“Pay attention to what you craft” - not a super useful suggestion, and obviously not fool-proof.
Pretty hard to do this day 2 of the expansion rofl. The QE list didnt even exist at that point either. They should buff underperforming trinkets/items?
Ok, that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t research if the Darkmoon deck is actually good before investing for the inflated mats price it usually costs at the start of the expansion.
It’s always hit or miss.
No, just offer my opinion.
You think raid/m+/pvp guilds don’t have full networks of crafters ?
That’s the cheap part.
BfA refunded only half your sanguicell after they realised refunding all of it was too op.
After challenge 5, you get unlimited number of them so long as you run content and kill bosses.
I remember in BFA, if you crafted the engi goggles, you could put them in that Shred Master MK 1 to break it down and you would get all your Breath of Bwomsamdi back.
There’s no reason there shouldn’t be a similar system to get your sparks back.
