Ayyy don’t mention it. 
I know it has been a while, but I had the same issues. I went through everything suggested, even checking output devices in device manager. Finally, I thought, what addons effect sound. I disabled WA and immediately started working.

I finally found a fix for this issue, if you are on windows 11 what you have to do is:
Open Volume Mixer and scroll down and hit the reset button then set your primay device to what you want to use then open wow again.

Usually happens to people who buy a monitor that has audio capabilities and when moves hardware around lets say from home to school then plugging it back up changes settings. I simply stopped getting these errors by just buying a monitor that is all about video and nothing else like in the old days. This way less confusion about settings.
Wow it was the volume mixer solution for me. Don’t even know what that was its crazy that was it.
