Since updating to Dragonflight on my laptop, using the Realtek driver supplied by Microsoft on Windows 10, i can no longer get any sound when i start Dragonflight. The sound works if i plug in a headset but not without it.
However, the sound works fine in other games like Wow Classic and in Hearthstone, even.
Any possibilities as to what might be causing it? I’ve already wiped the wow folders and re-installed everything to find the same thing still occurs.
I have the same problem. Nitro 5 with Intel 11 and a docking station. all other devices and apps have no problem with sound. WOW does not seem to see driver when I try to select a source in audio menu. This is also running on a Realtek driver. computers sound setup displays WOW with 100% volume. WOW doesn’t see computers audio. Please help.
I have the same issue. It appears if I fully power off my PC and unplug it from power then restart - I get sound back, however when I run dragonflight again, it goes away after a few seconds and I have to switch to headphones or use the audio out of my monitor over the displayport as audio source.
I was having this issue when trying to use headphones. I changed the output device to System Default instead of the Headphones and it fixed it so I would check to make sure the output is set right if you haven’t already.
