In a related note resurrection of all kinds is very much magic in lore. Be it via necromancy or the overwhelming power of The Light as shown used by Anduin to mass rez his troops during the battle of Undercity.

You also have resurrection via Fel. Thrall for example I believe was resurrected by Gul’dan using fel, thus why he has green skin and not the brown of his parents. Soulstones exist in lore as well.

Anduin did not “mass ress” his troops, he revived a good chunk that were clearly dying but had not yet actually died.

Thrall’s revival by Gul’dan is strictly a movie invention as he was born in the Alterac Mountains, not before the crossover.
