No season of all DF dungeons?

Next expansion, please have one M+ season where it’s all the brand new dungeons, preferably season 1. I guess maybe this is the plan for fated. I get the idea of wanting to shake things up and that is fine. Whatever happens, it would be nice to have at least one season of all new dungeons per expansion.

Yeah I understand they want to reuse old dungeons, but I too wish they did this.

There are only four max level dungeons. The other four are relegated to leveling dungeons.

And in the past, all dungeons would up in the M+ pool. More or less the norm has been 8 dungeons, 4 to do while leveling up, 4 that are strictly max level, and all 8 are available at max level and in the M+ pool.

I could be wrong, but the way they had them split up, listed and talked about them, it seemed like “here’s what you get for leveling only” and “here’s what you get at max level only.”

I don’t remember DF dungeons being like that.

I think it’s a shame why there are only 8 dungeons again. When BfA was released there were at least 10 and since then there have always been 8…
I want more, damn even 9 would be a win

Well, let me put it this way: RLP, Nokud, Brackenhide and maybe AA had quests that you picked up to do while leveling (AA is a bit of a ? as most were nearing max, if not max level anyway, by the time they reached Thaldrazus)

And going back, in SL we had NW, PF, MoTS and HoA as leveling dungeons with SoA, ToP, DOS and SD at max level.

I tend to level up my toons outside of dungeons, not uncommon for the first time for me to set foot in them is on either heroic (max level) or M0 (again, max level).

I’d be willing to bet we will have one more season where it’s just all the DF dungeons as opposed to what they did in shadowlands with the “fated” season.

No raid obviously, but I’d assume this won’t be the last m+ season before the new xpac

That just means you get access to them while leveling, they will have max level mythic versions.

All DF dungeons were said to be, “designed for both leveling and endgame content.”

Here’s the screen for the dungeons in War Within:

They didn’t say they were all designed for both leveling and end game. These ones were specifically split up, even when they talked about them.

That just means 1 of a few things:

  1. they assumed that people would think all dungeons would be included in some form of end game content
  2. they were not able to provide all information
  3. no one asked them if all dungeons would be open for end game
  4. etc.

With Blizzard, it has gotten to the point where unless they say, in no ambiguous terms, that things are nor are not going to happen, best to look at the history. Like they did not say the dungeons were designed for both leveling and end game, but did they say in specific terms that they were not?

And again… we only have the information we have right now: they’re currently split up with zero information on them being all M+.

You can assume all you want, but what we have right now is all we have for information.

We wait and see.

Every dungeon added in the expansion (no matter what the min level on normal mode is) has had an end game version (heroic and/or mythic) since the burning crusade.

Are you really expecting that to change now?

I’m not, but Send is focusing just on the information provided, information that could easily have Lawyer Ion, wording it to be the most ambiguous manageable released.

I am not saying you or I are right here Caps, but we know how Blizzard tends to do things so we are more likely to assume it will be the standard unless we hear, in no uncertain terms, otherwise.

I’m not the one making assumptions. I’m going off of the information we currently have and saying we wait and see if we get anymore information.

Period. End of story.

Having half of an expansion’s launch dungeons to level has been the norm since Legion.

Unless there’s a blue post or dev interview saying how those 4 are “leveling exclusive” I wouldn’t be worried.

And nowhere does that say they are leveling exclusive.

is an assumption. But the thing about assumptions is they could be wrong. Send is just making them based on information provided, while ones like Caps and myself are making them based on history.
