Plenty of other hardcore guilds managed just fine. Everyone knew the risks when they signed onboard. DDoS or not, anything that can happen will happen. Rolling the servers back will be a huge disservice to the folks smart enough not to broadcast their progression for all to see.
If they truly wanted to clear BWL, they would have prevented all content creators from streaming and only allow videos after progression/raid clear.
Back in 2020 the top guilds serious about world’s first prevented folks from streaming, which created a lot of drama, but protected the rest of the guild. No roll backs, or the spirit of Hardcore is compromised.

I 100% agree. Under NO circumstance, as per what everyone who makes a character agrees to! NO EXCEPTIONS!

Poor little thing
Because of people like you, Blizzard keeps giving us garbage and more garbage, and you swallow it with a napkin.

100% agree, great post, and good point about the guilds back in 2020 not allowing streamers
It’s almost like people care more about the streaming entertainment BS then the actual tenets of gameplay

I might be wrong, but didn’t hardcore originate from the community through an app? An app that also had an appeal system? If they’re not willing to make their infrastructure more stable against the attacks, there needs to be other measures imo. One nerd with a credit card shouldn’t be able to destroy hundreds of hours invested into the game, streamer or not.
