I will not spend 5k worth of mats and a cooldown in exchange for an 800g commission so you can sell the item back for 6k.
Is this - is this name dropping? If so that’s against tos
Valid tho that dude sucks for that
No Mats No Show, best addon ever
Fine, title edited. Says a lot about the attitude at Blizz that they let crooks like this do what they want but they’d act against people denouncing them.
Know what’s funny? As a blacksmith I have seen exactly 0 crafting orders on Agamaggan’s server group…
I kinda wish crafting orders were region wide instead of server/connected server specific. I have never run into TC’s issue because I have never seen a single crafting order request XD
I feel this as an alchemist who went ahead and researched every phial and potion that could be obtained…
Public orders aren’t that common from what I can tell and usually involve mats, like dracothyst in the case I’m referring to.
Someone put up public work orders for Enchanted Aspect’s Shadowflame Crest on my server for 500g but wanted the enchanter to provide all the mats. I whispered them to inform them that the Dracothyst alone was going for 5500g-6000g each and the recipe calls for 2 of those. They said they didn’t know, and thanked me, then proceeded to post their 500g work order without mats again. Some people are just counting on crafters to make mistakes.
My ignore list was empty til they made that change
Cuz the blacksmithing thing was flooded with people offering 1g to make bars for them with 0 mats supplied
Adding them to your ignore forever hides all their requests
I just don’t want you to get silenced is all. You’ve got a reasonable complaint tho
No worries, I understand. Thanks for the heads up.
That is exactly what is happening. They’re crooks. Scammers. Thieves. And they’re being enabled.
Yeah, its sad really. I doubt there is a thing Blizzard would do if I accidentally completed that work order and requested my mats back. Thankfully I take the time to read everything and didn’t make that costly mistake. Public work orders should have separate tabs for ones that include mats and ones that don’t.
I have that issue with alchemy requeats that take awakened order or primal. No one ver actually obtains the mats needed for these items
From what I’ve seen currently, there are pretty clear indicators to show if the requestor has included materials or not, both on the search tab and on the order screen once opened.
It does say “none” and “all” and has all the green arrows etc, yeah. I just think the UI could be better to avoid as many possibilities of mistakes happening. I’m very cautious but I’m sure some people out there don’t read and mash buttons. Maybe that is on them if they make that mistake, but these scammers also shouldn’t be enabled.
In the experience I mentioned above, I gave the person the benefit of the doubt and informed them on mat prices. They intentionally were preying on someone making a mistake and I don’t agree with that at all, shouldn’t even be a possibility tbh.
I wouldn’t call them Requester. Little Billy is the culprit in all of my horror stories. Little Billy is the guy that never shows up to raids except to win items you need. Little Billy dies 15 times in a key and then gets the loot you need. Little Billy is rewarded for next to no effort. If you do manage to get a drop, Little Billy whispers you asking for the item.
Confirmed, though it’s called No Mats, No Make.
Witch Hunting.
The Salem Witch Trials.
lmao.
It would be nice if the UI included an “estimated value of missing mats” field calculated from auction house data that was plainly visible to buyers and sellers.
Are there are some add-ons out there that already do this?
Dunno, but it shouldn’t be too hard for one such to use Auctionator’s scanned AH data.
