Trying to rep up with the main cities. Currently wearing Stormwind City tabard. Have ran six dungeons and my rep has remained unchanged.
Any suggestions?

What dungeon are you running? They don’t all give rep with tabards.
From my understanding you need to run dungeons of that expansion. In this case I think you need to run 10-60 dungeons to get rep.
They need to give you experience to give you rep.
If the mobs are green you will get rep by killing them.

I did all of my rep grinding for the Alliance factions at level 120. However, only heroic dungeons gave me rep with the tabards. And I don’t think any dungeons post MoP work with them.

Well according to what I’ve read, it’s not supposed to work in Classic/BC dungeons or Raids, so I have been sticking to WotLK and above, mobs should be giving me XP as I am currently 75.
If it is indeed only Heroic dungeons/raids, then I will have to wait until I hit 80.
Pretty sure normal dungeons work if leveling. I always buy a tabard to get rep right away. Though think it only works in Vanilla and (up to?) Cata dungeons.
Though its only on mobs that give rep in the first place iirc. And finishing a dungeon.

there’s no such thing as heroic dungeons for 1-60 content… so heroic is not a requirement.
it will work in classic dungeons, and any TBC ones which don’t have their own rep assigned.
i don’t believe tabards work in any raids, regardless of expansion.
a bunch of Wrath dungeons also have their own rep associated with them

They do work in all just about all instances if you are at level for them.
I created a human mage who hit exalted with storm wind at level 35.
Are you using the one you buy from the quartermaster or the one you get later in I think warlords?
If I remember correctly the latter one doesn’t give rep, just looks prettier.

I was primarily running BC dungeons, with some WotLK/Cata thrown in.
i was merely pointing out that heroic is not a requirement, because it’s a lowbie tabard.

So it doesn’t need to be dungeons of the same expansions generally then, are there any rules to which dungeons you can use?
if there are any specific requirements, they are listed on the tabard
otherwise, just avoid dungeons which have their own rep tied to them.
When i grind city rep for heritage armor i go to the mechanar in area 52, outland.
Thanks, looked it up a bit since I was curious and wanted to double check. Didn’t know there was that much rep tied to dungeons in TBC and Wrath.
These tabards give players reputation with that city in Azeroth, level 80+ Wrath, Cataclysm, and Mists of Pandaria dungeons.
@Gwenumar you should start getting rep in normal 80+ dungeons according to wowhead.
Botanica (normal) is my go-to-dungeon for city rep grinds.
