Just installed the PTR tonight because I want to raid with my guild but it claims no realms are currently available. I’ve tried reinstalling the Cata PTR multiple times but I still get the same error. I know I’m loading the correct client because it reads “Version 4.4.2 (58796) (Test x64)” on the bottom left corner of the loading screen.
Anyone have suggestions? I’ve tried deleting the contents of the “Cache” and “WTF” folders, still nothing.
When you log onto PTR are there multiple accounts to pick? Because if you pick the wrong account you will not see the realms listed.
Go to your account settings in browser, under “Games and Subscriptions”, at the bottom there is an option to “Create Public Test Realm Account”
Pay attention to the license name in () next to the account name under the games section (For example, (WoW2))
When you launch PTR, if you do not see a pop up to select a license, click the logout button and try logging in again. This should fix your issue.
Another note, clicking “back” at the character create logs me out instead of taking me back to the screen where I could copy a character over from live. I had to create a lvl 1, then I could use the “Copy Character” button in the middle at the bottom.
