Let me preface this with the post this morning by Fwoibles:
So they plan to open up Chaos Bolt (RPPVP) to Lava Lash (RP) which is apparently a much smaller population than Chaos Bolt is using the same metrics people suggested Chaos Bolt is dying.
Why would you shut down Chaos Bolt first and not Lava Lash if both are suffering from similar issues? Why then open transfers to a server that is, by the doomers standards, is worse off than Chaos Bolt?
This is such a haphazard decision that no one on Chaos Bolt understands because Fwoibles, Aggrend or Kaivax are not offering anything concrete to help us understand this decision. If they intended on shutting down lowest population servers and mass migrate them to medium population servers, I would totally understand that. But itâs just Chaos Bolt.
Second, a lot of people who rolled on Chaos Bolt as Horde also rolled Alliance on Crusader Strike. How does this work for them? Some have no idea how this will impact them going forward. What if they wanted to remain on a PvP server, but now either have to abandon them on Chaos Bolt or go to a non-PvP server.
Third, why only open us with Crusader Strike as the only option when it ALREADY HAS LAG ISSUES DURING WPVP EVENTS. NOOOO ONE wants to deal with that. Not even people on Crusader Strike. Add in the fact layering has been a disaster, even more so for Crusader Strike, and you decide to compound the issue by turning it into a mega-server.
Can you people at least provide some context for these decisions?
Lava lash also has worse faction balance, they very clearly have other intentions and the flying monkeys will fan the flames of whatever nonsense they stirr up to cover for it.

Not according to the same metrics everyone who suggest CB was dying. According to raid logs, Lava Lash is worse. And youâll be hard pressed to change those same peoples minds who used the same metrics to say that CB is dying.
So then why would they open CB to Lava Lash when people clearly also want to be on a PvP server? Why not ALSO open it to an RP only and a PvP only server? Thereâs no reasoning here.
Then let them say it. People falling off is expected, but if they think making moves without explanation is going to help retain people then they are mistaken.
I think Glinda is right, If there were a RP_PVE megaserver weâd be right there beside you getting merged.
I do agree with you that if they are going to allow you to transfer to a pure RP server, they should also allow you to transfer to a pure PVP server. Additionally they should let people who already transferred to CS change to a new destination now that there are other options.
I can understand anyone who is tired of getting ganked looking to get out of that, but I would wager a majority of us want to stay on a PvP server, but not go to the issue-ridden Crusader Strike. Why not open up a PvP server so those of us who like WPvP can have options with that as well?
time to consolidate servers
