what the hell is up with not getting any rating for an RBG win? I was in a group where everyone was at least 1300+, and I’m at 1350, we won and I got no rating. But if I lose, I lose like 10 or more. Why the hell are these wins giving me nothing?

I literally just made a similar post. It’s all bout team MMR it seems. This makes it extremely hard to climb in pugs / LFG tool as a solo player because groups running at higher rankings won’t take you and YOLO groups often have people with extremely low ranking. So you get nothing for a win and -15 points for a loss.

well if that’s true, then it’s a garbage system that blizzard should change. But knowing blizzard, they’ll just turn a blind eye to any pvp issue and only address it if the top 1% of players cry about it.

The system is wacky. I think it has something to do with winning or losing streaks, and the number of teams available in the queue. I think team mmr increases and decreases too rapidly. I went from unranked to 1800 mmr in like 6 games I think. And I went from 1350 rating to 1610 rating in two games due to this.

I lost a whole 7 points at like 2500 mmr last night. Your personal mmr is bad. The system is working as intended. Form your own groups and win more than you lose.
The absolutely only way you would not gain any cr at all at 1300 cr is if your teams mmr was like 1100 which is near unheard of.

i don’t think its working as intended, it just happens to be working for you, so you defend it.
if we followed your advice, we would be just another one of those players who asks for a 2k link without ever having played at 2k.

it doesn’t really matter, winning a game and getting zero reward for your effort turns you off from playing. i doubt i will play another rbg again.

Likely just because of a losing streak. The system figured that your personal MMR is much lower than your current rating and is working on moving your current rating toward it. Get several wins to improve your personnal MMR if you want to gain points.

You’re 15-30 in rbgs. System is 100% working as intended. You do not deserve CR if you lose twice as many games as you win.

amazing how you got 12 likes on that post in under an hour at this time of day. is brigading against the forum rules? actually, a few people liked your post twice on alts, are they your alts? are you liking your own posts?
but either way, im not sure its 100% working as intended, as like i said, the only way to get CR for me atm is to pay a 2k+ team to give me a win streak, why pay them? well putting myself on their team lowers their overall team mmr below their cr and means they gain nothing for winning, or do i not understand the mmr system right?

All of my alts are visible on check-pvp and most are some iteration of something-lol. So no, those are not my alts.
I’m at work, and replying on break.
As for carry groups, a singular person will not significantly tank a team mmr. We self played some egirl streamer last night at 2400 mmr. She was 1600 cr. We all still gained rating.

I’ve lost 3 games in between wins in the past two days and lost 0 rating because my MMR is/was 2,200+ and my CR is only 1946.
I honestly didn’t think people even lost rating until after 1,400, but if you are OP, you just need to win a couple games to increase your MMR. Queue in groups that use Discord, make sure someone is target calling, and lead the raid if no one else is. Your win % will increase dramatically just with those 3 changes.

I think I figured it out and you seem to be right. Lose a bunch in a row and you won’t gain much from a win after that. But if you win a few in a row it will start to snowball into more rating. I was finally able to get a bit of a win streak and got +4, then +12, then +46 for the third win in a row.
It can be very demoralizing to get 0 rating from a win, especially after a losing streak, but all you can do is just keep queuing up and trying to win to get out of the hole.

RBGs has the same MMR progression as Arena does, just on a smaller scale. You literally need higher rated players with MMR/CR to fight the enemy teams that will increase your rating.

I remember fighting Bailamos once in the 1600 bracket… They all only gained 0 - 2 points, but, guess it was worth it to them… We capped 1 / 3 they won.
My first rbg ever we got graveyard camped at 1600 by ABN. They were 2500mmr. Jokes on them though, they got farmed the next season when I had gotten extremely good and was in their mmr.
