Those experiencing a expansion launch foe first time and played classic, rest assured the retail has not had a queue in years.
The subs dont the support the numbers for one lol.

Maybe there won’t be queue for low pop servers but the full or high pop servers will prob have a queue, idk.

We don’t have queues because we are not using the same ancient systems we did in the past. If they feel one zone is over populated, they spin up a new shard and start shifting people to that one.
The hell are you talking about? I was on Area 52, the biggest realm on retail and had like 20k queues during SL launch and Blizzard ended up offering free transfers to other realms cause of the ridiculous queues. Stop spreading misinformation.

You’d be wrong. On high/full pop queues on launch day are not, at all, uncommon.
Large servers still have queues on even regular patch releases. Blizzard’s server virtualization tech can use a lot of improvements.
If Classic had a queue, then by definition the subs are there to have one.
Maybe if you play on a lower pop realm. I fully expect some queues for full realms.
Wrath Classic had 10 hour queues lol.
Both BfA and SL had great launches for like 98% of the players so I’m not sure why people make launch this big deal.
Maintenance ends at 8am, so it will probably be like SL launch, a quest just popping up at 3pm.

I’m willing to bet at the very least Stormrage, Illidan, and Moonguard will have queues for a couple days.
Moon Guard has actually had a queue for me once or twice since prepatch part 2 started. It was only a few seconds each time, but the server has almost always showed as “full” on the login screen.
Obviously other servers mileage may vary.

Depends on the server ZJ is listed as “full” but we don’t get queues, Area 52 and illi? probably.
Yeah, IDK about the server I am on now (Hyjal), but Thrall where I was last expansion had one depending on when I tried to log on.
I think Hyjal is just high pop so hopefully things will be ok
