No point in taking a feral to raid

Bring a warrior and get same lvl or better dps and a viable OT

I can deal with bear weaving but flower/snake/idol weaving is just excessive… I want to be a cat, just let me dps as cat???

Give feral dps a buff that’ll help them with their pve dmg. Give bears something for their threat and lack of utility.

Buff Cats and Bears. Thx

lose bleed debuff, lose battlerezz, lose innervate

We actively searched for a feral dps for our raid, and we´re happy that we found one.

Absolutely agreed. The degen playstyle of feral is only topped by the feral community, with a lot of people defending this playstyle in a fascinating coping mechanism.

Aggro modifier change for Bear would be nice + additional pve defensive cooldown maybe.
How to change cat dps for pve only, i dont know, but would be nice aswell.

A warrior dose not bring the same dps as a feral when tanking. Ferals allow you to have them spot tank without much dps loss a warrior needs to lose a fair bit more to do the same if not change there spec.

Eg we use a feral to offtank alg on both 10 and 25 in full dps spec and gear losing vary little dps value. A warrior doing the same you’re using prot spec and comes at a significantly higher dps cut.

While feral brings as mentioned innervate and a extra battle rez, there the better offtabk than a warrior when you only need a spot tank like all of uldar where there is not a single fight you need a true offtank (read tank in tank spec and gear) on any fight.

Feral is trash this xpac, should have rerolled already.

Heh, heard you guys carried a ton of speed increase hammers from Gnomeregan back in Vanilla. Your weaving comment reminded me of that.

I don’t raid if I don’t have an Innervate slave

You won’t be saying that come ToC/ICC when armor pen is higher.

holy cowpium

You’re confused, like most of the other people who try to apply the logic behind why Warriors scale well with AP to other classes. Warriors are going to be the only class that scales extremely well with AP, because the harder Warrior hits, the more rage their hits generate. So they actually get more resources to spam HS/Execute with as time goes on. This technically applies to Bear as well, but they already have more Rage than they can spend, and their Rage dump abilities deal almost no damage.

Cat will not get additional resources with higher AP, so while it will scale up in DPS, it won’t scale up to the same degree as Warrior. And if DK is wrecking your DPS now, it will wreck it just as hard when you both have a bunch of AP.

Well, my raid team is searching for a feral & we can’t find one.

  • brez
  • innervate
  • easy tank/dps swap
  • 30% bleed not to have Arms warrior

Also, later on, during ICC phase, bears become REAL meat sacks. I mean like, REAL meat sacks. Cap out on armor and boom, they are much better tanks than warriors.

They launched wrath with the 3.5 update that is the one where armor pen got nerfed.

So nobody will scale with armor pen worth anything noticing at all…
Warriors will never be anything this expansion.
They will have to be in full ICC gear just to be the middle of the pack on DPS at that point everyone is quit the expansion because the lich King is dead and the expansion is over.

So cats and warriors are dead on arrival the whole expansion

Wait till gear starts to stupid scale later on and bears become raid bosses.

What’s maybe a little lost here is that feral actually has a really cool playstyle in that the rotation is fun! I enjoy maintaining my bleeds while seeing if I can max out my crit enough to sneak out a FB in there now and again. Bear weaving actually made the rotation much more interesting as I find it quite challenging to maintain… like, I always lose lacerate, but I’m a baddie I guess.

The other stuff ferals are doing to max out their dps is kinda cool (sploitz!), but not something that’s interesting to me. In a live game these would probably get nerfed, especially if they made a large impact like the DK thing from phase 1.

So as it is, Druids have some sploitz that make them mediocre at best instead of the worst, so I don’t expect these will be fixed, but I also think it’s ok that ferals are bottom dps. Someone has to be, and we knew this going in that they would be bad.

For most groups just doing content, having a low-dps feral in your group probably isn’t going to break you… so either play feral because you love it (however you want t to play it), or reroll something stronger because you wanna top meters?

I’m just not sure what the big deal is.

Now… give me Classic+ (or even WotLK+ after ICC) and then yea, absolutely, let’s talk class balance!

It’s not just bears and cats. Druid all together is weak this expansion. Sounds like you should just play a warrior. Blizz isnt gonna fix anything but i admire the wishful thinking after 15 years of let downs.

It’s already noticeable and we haven’t even hit ToC yet.

If paladins can geta buff this far into classic then so can druids!

Feral druids being given a new glyph on par with the slight pally buff is something most would support here.

Most people will say taking a feral is far better than a warrior, FYI.

A very valid point!
I may not be accurate, although recall playing WotLK from its original released November 13, 2008 & based on my personal experience in feral form was practically unplayable in being an effective team player…Blizzard finally gave love to the feral form since the SL released. Before that time, playing feral was painful & pretty much neglected since WoW’s launch in 2004. Once again, I may not be accurate, it’s my personal experience playing the Druid Feral.

Druid tanks seem pretty good to me
