I think I’ve killed Sin’Dall 6 times now… and never has he dropped the paw needed to complete the quest. Has anyone else had trouble with this quest?

The last time I did that quest in Classic (about 3 months ago) it worked fine. The paw dropped. Wowhead says the drop rate is 92%. That surprised me. I thought it was 100%.
If it has not dropped in 6 kills for you, sounds like a bug to me.
If wowhead is correct that the drop-rate is 92%, is it possible he just got unlucky 6 times in a row?
Or…maybe it is indeed a bug (items that drop from boss kills for quests almost NEVER have a drop-rate below 100% anyway) and wowhead is saying it’s a 92% drop-rate as a result of players getting this bug.
I don’t know what the situation is. I have no idea where wowhead gets it numbers or how accurate they are.
I checked (retail) wowhead and classic.wowhead, and saw different numbers:
wowhead - 82% drop (32386 drops)
classic wowhead – 92% drop (5668 drops)
wowhead is saying a 92% drop rate because ~8% of the players that killed him do not have the quest, thus the item did not drop. Should be 100% drop rate if you are on quest. Make sure you are on the right quest and killing the correct named cat in the zone ( multiple named elite cats in stv can get confusing)
The paw is a 100% drop if you’re on the quest. You don’t already have it in your bank or something do you? Try to abandon the quest and pick it up again.
This is from 6 hours ago though so maybe it’s solved.

I actually did this very same STV quest on my latest alt maybe 12 hours ago. The paw dropped on the first kill. Although I was worried about getting the kill. That tigers dodge chance is nuts. Almost killed my rogue because it was dodge, dodge, dodge, miss, dodge, dodge, dodge. Lol
as long as you have the quest, you do some damage to it and not in a raid it should drop 100% of the time, I’ve done this on many alts.

Have you checked your bank? Did you accidentally store it away. I’ve had this happen before doing the Wailing Caverns quests for the Deviate Hides. I was wondering why nothing would ever drop anymore i felt like i was stuck at 15 hides
I get the dummy award! I had the quest in my queue - but after reading the suggestions I decided the best option was to abandon and re-quest. BUT - it was not there… I must have abandon to make room for some other quest. Sorry for the bother
