I just got booted from a Zul’Farrak group as a tank because I didn’t want to pull 5+ packs at a time.
The healer raced ahead and aggroed as much as he could rather than let the tank go at their own pace. Then I got voted out of the group because I just want to relax after work and take things easy. That’s not fast enough though.
So now I have to wait 30 minutes before I can tank again because some dipwad wanted to go faster.
It’s like this game goes out if it’s way to make sure the most needed class is punished at every single turn.

Everyone wants to be helicopter.

Sounds like vote kicking worked as intended.

Sorry this happened to you.

Getting vote kicked shouldn’t apply a deserter debuff though right?

That sucks. Sorry that happened. The game’s been around for so long, and there are significantly more ‘old’ players rather than new. People just wanna plow through dungeons so fast. It sucks because you never know how people will react… but when healers and dps try doing the pulling for me and it makes my life more miserable, I kindly as them to let me do the pulling, explaining that I’m just there to enjoy my time as much as they are.

I mean, even with i agreed with the groups main premise, that they wanted to go faster, which i dont, the HEALER has no business pulling anything. Sounds like a crap group, but, unfortunately, there are a lot of those these days.

As a tank main. Just go faster

If the healer thinks you’re pulling too slow and manages to pull more mobs without wiping the group then you were puling too slow.

I love that instance! Takes me back, hard to believe folks are kicking from a low lvl Dungeon. Such a shame.
I’ll run you through if you get no joy with LFD Circuitbreak.

It does.
Tanks getting a dungeon they didn’t like demanding to be kicked so they can requeue without a debuff made them change it.

I agree, but still, they should have asked the fellow to go faster before just vote kicking them. Not everyone’s been tanking for ten years like some of us.
Yep. A good tank judges their group and pulls as much as they can without getting everyone killed. If the healer can tank more than you can… That’s rough.
Still though, as I said to Swålsh, folks should communicate first and kick second.
A little courtesy goes a long way.

Thanks but just needed to vent.

I mean. I wouldn’t be the one to initiate the kick but I wouldn’t be opposed to vote in favor of the kick.
I think this is a result of how the design philosophy has changed over the years. Dungeons currently play like an arcade game, and if you don’t smash those 2 buttons fast enough, well you know what happens. IMO gameplay needs to slow down a bit, and pulls should require at least minimal thought.

Healer was a dip stick. Pushing someone into something they might not be comfortable or ready for is far from a fun experience. I’m sorry for you man, but there are still patient people in the game.
Too often it can go the other way as well, where the tank pulls beyond what their is capable of.
The main lesson to be learned is that the tank, healer, and even the dps are a team. The tank pulls as much as the healer can handle, and the dps use stuns, interrupts, etc. To take pressure off of both. If everyone works together things go smoother. If people start going off on their own then things fall apart.

If you want to relax after work and take things easy then go do pet battles. Trying to run dungeons slowly is at the expense of 4 other people who just want to to get it over with. If you can’t handle pacing as a tank then reroll.
As someone else said, sounds like the vote kick is working as intended.

Why play at all if it’s just to “get it over with”?

You think you should enjoy everything you do in game or not play at all?
