I do not remember in TBC, Wrath, Cata, MoP, Draenor, Legion, or even BFA when a healer had to trinket a Sap to save their team. I could be wrong, anyone else remember a time where you had to trinket Sap?
If I’m a Rsham in 3s playing with a WW and Hunter. My WW is opened on, 90% of his health is gone from being in a cheap. The rogue cloaked so the Hunter couldn’t peel. WW then ports and pops all his defensive’s then Ring of Pieced himself. Rogue Shadowsteps(while still cloaked)gets Kidney Shot, then dueled. WW trinkets the Kidney almost instantly, still gets solo’d by a Rogue. While I’m in the original Sap. Is the game plan to really trinket Sap? WW is 202 with 22% vers.
I’m fine with fast paced gameplay but that is a literal unplayable situation. The Mage was still stealth.
If you dont like it, maybe its time to find another game?
Not trying to be rude, but the majority like this. Ion said so himself in that recent interview. PVP has the highest participation in a very long time.
So do I. I literally said that in my post. I don’t want a no skill meta where 1 person can PvE through all defensives and still get a kill while I’m sapped. There’s a difference between a fast meta and the current clown fiesta we’re in. I was watching someone last night on Twitch playing Double Boomkin, Rogue at 2400mmr. All they need to do to win is for one of them not to get CC.
He didn’t think he’d die in a cheap. I guess the only option is for him to instantly trinket cheap. The port was also LoS.
Is it because the meta is fast that people like it or because they finally brought back pvp vendors and decent pvp gearing?
I prefer a faster meta to a dampening meta… but this is way, way too fast for me. There has to be a sweet spot somewhere between being globalled and games lasting 20 minutes.
You are simply wrong, decent healers always save their trinket for blind against rogues because if you don’t you will get blinded into a sap or even double sap mid-game. If you trinket a sap at the opener, you will most likely get blinded instantly and your teammate dies anyway.
no u cant trinket the first sap. ur teammates need to live through it. MAYBE if its like, shadowblades, combust and dark arch all at once in the opener, you could trinket the first sap… but still very sketchy to do.
ur monk should respect shadowblades and trinket the first cheap para/sweep/disarm/karma one or more of those options IMO, especially if it’s like 1800 or below rating, most sub rogues are fotm and always lose if you survive opener. If your monk did karma and still got 100-0 by solo rogue in a sap im surprised. havent seen rogue hitting quite that hard since the nerf.
your hunter shouldve also helped with binding shot, knockback, daze, pet sac. Always a way to outplay them.
TBH, I prefer KR games to WOW, as do most of my friends.
This is a much more akin to what we prefer than WOW has been since Classic.
I prefer this tbh. Maybe a little slower would be good, maybe it wouldnt, but I personally am fully enjoying the Current Meta. It brought back and brought to wow, friends that havent played in a long time, and ones that have always refused to play.
They could nerf Crit back to 50%, that would help with that, remove spell variance, also would help.
However nerfing abilities that 90% of the time are no where near 1 shots, to not ever be close to 1 shots, will slow the game considerably.
The game will also slow overtime as it is, it was not this fast on beta. There is also the Stam from Renown, which has no ties to gear. Therefore, yes people will gear and their damage will go, so will their stam, but there stam will also rise independently. As will access to more slots for Def conduits, of which we have very little ATM.
The game is already set to slow, if you slow it down now too much, we will be back in BFA in 2 months. My team already has alot of games, lasting multiple mins, and going to Oom. You want to make that worse?
You people just need to stop whining, adapt to the faster meta, stop hugging defensives like its a 20 min game, and you will be amazed how long matches can last.
Everyone loving this meta is either an OP class with immunities, retard damage or they aren’t healing, very few healers are enjoying this. It is very toxic
I love it and am Playing DH and Lock. So ya not OP classes.
It isnt toxic, your just not use to it. We are, this is just like EVERY OTHER PVP game. Your too used to BFA slow mode, holding your hand. You will adapt, and then you will start to enjoy it.
i remember games been very fast in season 1-4 BC but like… not so fast that you had to trinket sap. even trinketing cheap shot meant you were bad. but there were 1 shot things in that meta too, windfury sword spec warrior/rsham, rogue/(druid, mage)
the game was a LOT of fun then, but things were busted as hell in terms of broken classes and combos.
I haven’t done arena much yet in SL, but I can say that based on ppls complaints, people’s damage in PVP should be like halved, some healing should be adjusted and self healing/team healing for certain specs should get nerfed HARD
CC should be incredibly meaningful, and 1shot macros shouldn’t exist
