I’m at the point on my main and 5 of my alts that I need to farm Drake’s fragments to gear up. I’m looking at a screen with 10 rares up and there are only 2 players in the caverns. I have toons on Borean Tundra and Staghelm and its the same. I’ve monitored this over a week, morning, afternoon, night. Not enough players to down a rare. Patch day is better but it drops off for the rest of the week but for a short time on Saturday. Are players just not playing this zone? There is just nothing to do at this point.

Yeah, the zone has become fairly dead in a short span of time (and it’s the dev’s fault/bad game design), but it’s also early morning on a Monday - most people are at work or going to work

I go once a week at reset. I might go back in the middle of the week but not always.
The zone has so little to do that its just not worth making the trip more often.

All my Horde toons are on Staghelm. I played through the campaign once when it came out, got gated at the Sarkareth kill, and now I’m playing Totk on my switch while I wait for goblins to spawn in. When I get bored of that, I go level my Enh Shaman.
There just isn’t that much in the Caverns aside from rares, and I’m not really interested in killing a bunch of rares for a whole patch. Already did that on Forbidden Reach.

place was dead on the weekend primetime, tried for hours and just gave up , not going back again, the changes they made were terrible.

I feel that I’ll have to tank and spend a good lil chunk dpsing em down, but after a good min someone will come around since they see someone tanking a rare that can give a good beaten. But it def was a huge diff vs when it first started but if anything there giving way for time rift instead of focusing on a single area. In the next patch
Open the group tool
Select custom
Select find a group
Look for
“ZC rares WM off”
If there are none, select back, then create group.
List your own “ZC rares”
People will join.
How do I know?
Because I do this every day on 4 alts

I’m just baffled why they thought making a bunch of high hp rares that clearly require a group drop no loot was a good idea

I think I have identified the problem. At least the FR rares might have dropped something useful, even if farming the elites was the better play.

OP, the zone kinda sucks ngl.
You have some people who are just ignoring the zone, waking up to the template design and are tired of it… and some are gone over to diablo 4 for a bit.
The zone itself, has had less longevity on the servers I’ve been on, compared to past zones and that is kinda funny. Well, maybe Broken Shore also had a drop off quickly but that place was just as bland as you could get.
The MAW was awful too lol

I was there yesterday just to get away from the throngs of people killing the goblin. Killed a couple of rares. Thought about queuing for the world boss but figured no one would be doing it this late in the week. This will be the first week that I didn’t complete the Loamm reputation quest. Oh well, there is always next week.
If you haven’t done it yet, do the Blue Dragon quest line. You’ll get a decent amount of Drake fragments and can solo the entire thing.
Do you know how many people who play this game and don’t have job s or bills? Neither do I but there’s a whole lot of them.

Never understood why they are so infatuated with having so many caves, and mines in this game idk. I guess some of the devs are into spelunking irl

I switched to tank to become my own solution to the problem.
Now my problem is there isn’t enough to do down there, I don’t want to play alts, wishing we were back on the daily reset thing.

Really, I just stop by to do the Researchers Under Fire on a Tuesday and once I get my 1500 reputation with the moles (doncha’ know?) and any new dig maps done I’m out. 
I’m sure Tuesday will bring all the boys to the yard and my server is better than yours…
