This is the second time my honor didn’t calculate. I had almost 150k honor and my rank didn’t move at all.
Stuff like this deflates people’s desire to play this game. Is this a common issue for anyone else?
It goes by treshold. If you dont get the treshold u wont move. Download Ranker addon and you will see how many honor you need

Rank 9, was 3/4th the way to Rank 10
You need to download the ranker addon. You have specific threshholds you need to hit per rank. You likely needed to hit at leasy 188k or something of that nature to move

I needed 142500 Honor on my two Hunters to go from Rank 9 89.1% to Rank 10 0%, and I grinded 150,000ish Honor on both this AV weekend.
I haven’t had a chance to log in and check my rank, so I hope nothing weird happened because I really don’t want to do that grind again (x2). unless the Dev team gets really sassy with AV marks yielding 2500 Honor, I’m done at Rank 10. I’ll get my PVP helmet and shoulders, then finally buy myself the crafted polearm and gun. and with that, I will probably be as geared as I am going to be for the remainder of SoD.
Err, what Rank are you? Past a certain Rank, 150k is not enough to hit any of the thresholds I don’t think.
Download Ranker and set it to 500k threshold and your goal Rank and it’ll tell you exactly how much you need to hit each week.
It was way worse in Classic tbf. Back when there was Rank decay and no honor caps, you needed millions of honor to be ahead of the pack and get the higher ranks. Now, we’ll just have to do three weeks of 500k honor to get Rank 14 from Rank 13, and they won’t even have to be back to back.
It’s more so that you need an addon to truly know what it is than anything.
Yeah, what I’m saying is you couldn’t even use addons like Ranker back in Classic 2019. You just had to guess, and also have your friends spy on the other hardcore pvpers to check what their honor totals were throughout the week. Or you had to collude with all of the other hardcore pvpers and form a neat, orderly line on the way to the higher ranks.
Because if you wanted Rank 14, you needed to be top of the pack three weeks in a row, even if that meant farming 1-2 million honor or more to do it. If you wanted anything above Rank 11, you had to be the top 1% or something of rankers which meant figuring out what the other rankers in the top 1% were hitting in terms of honor cap and going for it yourself.
So it was a lot, LOT worse.
Well now that I know I’ll download yet another addon. 
lol yep. I honestly wouldn’t be able to play SoD without addons. Even with all the QoL, they’re just too necessary for the sake of my sanity.

If your goal is to get to R14 then you seriously need to devote almost all your free time to it. Takes longer with each rank you get. In original level 60 WoW 04 version back when there were way more players than now…there were multiple realms that had ZERO R14 players on them. It is a bit easier now but still a grind. You’re last couple of ranks are going to feel as grindy as all the rest of your lower ranks combined.

as i play on two chars it helps me know what the “ideal” caps are to go for and saves me alot of headache.

It’ll be infinitely easier to achieve r14 in SoD with no decay. Once you get the set amount of honor to get to a specific ranking, you’re solid. Never have to worry about it again. That’s how it should’ve been originally tbh but understandable that they didn’t have systems fleshed out in the original launch of the game.

ya this way so much easier… had to get many Million + weeks on my two chars. That was a chore and a grind and you would end up with bracker breakers on top of it.
Could do the math by hand and spreedsheet like we did 15+years ago. But kinda pointless since there are set honor caps and no longer have to go into the millions
Nonsense design to expect the player to use an addon and have no feedback whatsoever in-game as to where they are in relation to the threshold. The game doesn’t even need to give you numbers, just any sort of indication at all that you are a hero of the horde/alliance and will gain somehow. It’s really atrociously lazy to leave players hanging or expect them to use an addon (which in turn applies a lot of pressure on the unpaid maintainers of such addons).
