No More Warchiefs, only Dinner Council!

I’d like to retain the idea that although they’re all equally as a Council - They have a prime voice, and each year or so the prime voice rotates throughout the Council. That way you have a main-leader of the Horde, but they’re not gonna put world domination on the table because soon as the years up the reins automatically pass over. Would offer a lot of lore-opportunities too I feel, along with character developments for the characters currently in charge each year or expansion.

I love this idea but the concept of the central seating bit is a stretch. You lose a lot of prime table space and it would be awkward to talk at - you really want to be able to see all the other diners at any given moment, for hashing out important decisions.

Maybe the central space could be a low firepit, with the table sat around the outside, or a central space for the chef to bring out food and whatnot.

Why is Baine not at the Kid table?

Did you miss the part where he mentioned “personal hopes for future members”?

Like a “Speaker for the Horde”?

I mean, that one is just a hope for a future council member. The Hozen ARE already in the Horde. Just like the Unshackled, the Taunka and the Stonemaul Ogres. They just are represented on the Council yet.

Hopes for the future was more referencing the San’layn, the Black Dragonflight and the Mok’nathal.

Or just a place for an outsider to stand when they need to address the entire council.

They made it to live. Hozen can be seen among the Horde Vanguard NPCs in the training hall in Dazar’alor (Where the Orc is taking all the Horde soldiers through their paces)

In addition during the Vol’dun warfront there is along one of the main roads a group of Goblins fighting a group of Gnomes with giant mechs. Goblins have a giant robo gorilla and the gnomes have a giant robo spider. On the goblin side there are a large number of Hozen (Horde flagged) who seem to be there to mostly cheer on the Robo-Gorilla. So there’s the second time they appear.

That said, Hozen appearing are a rare event, but they still do appear. So the Hozen continue to provide fighting forces to the Horde army.

The Hozen full on joined the Horde, but that’s largely because the Horde seems to be far more willing to recruit races into it, and add them far more quickly than the Alliance. We’ve seen multiple times in Wrath, Cata, and MoP that commanders in the Horde seem to have large leeway in accepting who gets to join the Horde. This is how races like the Tanuka, Ogres, and Hozen all gained membership into the Horde. Ogres of the Stonemaul clan basically joined the Horde in very similar ways to the Hozen as well, a Mak’gora to defeat a big leader, then aid to the people to make them like the Horde. In Cataclysm the Dragonmaw Clan also rejoined the Horde under similar circumstances: Defeat their leader in combat, help the people out, they are thankful and Join the Horde.

Pithy Political Remark

In that way they are not too similar to plenty of IRL world countries who have gone in to remove leaders they do not like… only the Horde seems to go the extra step of just making them into members of their world power.

Either way, the Horde has recruited plenty of races into their faction through not dissimilar means. As for ‘not caring’ about the Hozen, a lot of that stems from the fact that Garrosh was in charge during MoP and it was all to show how mean and rough he was by not caring about anyone that’s not a true Horde. Since we’ve never bothered to go back to … just about any content after an expansion, it’s hard to say if any development has occurred with the Forest Hozen since then.

I mean, we’ve not even seen the MoP NPCs aside from Nazgrim outside of the MoP expansion. Bring back Kyrin and Riko!

I dunno about that. Most secondary Horde races have an accompanying Alliance race.
Taunka has Frostborn. Hozen has Jinyu. Unshackled have Ankoans. etc.

Well, The Monkey King shows up several times. But I think he’s Neutral.

Safety. Do you WANT those kids to get eaten?

Than he can wear a helmet.

He’s pretty strong, he’ll probably just cram the children through the mouthguard regardless. Better to keep him at a distance, next to fully-grown leaders who might stand a better chance at escaping his maw.

Because there is no kids table, because this isn’t the Alliance, so we don’t need a place for Anduin.

As for each of those Alliance races, I don’t believe the Frostborne or the Ankoan’s expressed a desire to join the Alliance as much as they were temporary partners of each faction. The Frostborne were led by Muradin, but he actually abdicated leadership to … Velog… even in the quests and dialogue it seems clear that the Frostborne are friendly with the Alliance out of a desire to fight with them in the current conflict, but they don’t seem to join the Alliance.
Meanwhile the Tanuka actually full on join the Horde, and it’s the first time we see the Bloodoath in action that may or may not still be a thing with the Council.

The Ankoan also don’t seem to be interested in joining the Alliance, as they are shown to be a noble faction of dying (samurai) warriors battling to the last against the nefarious Naga. Their numbers seem to be incredibly small, and from what I can recall they seem more focused on fighting to the last against the Naga then forming any long term plans.
I don’t believe the Unshackled join the Horde either here, though they do express interest in joining the Horde, and by their very nature they are constantly working to expand their ranks. Not to mention that their main reps can be found on the Coast of Durotar near Orgrimmar expressing interest in the Horde still. (The Ankoan do not appear in a similar position on the Alliance, unless I’ve missed that)

Not only that but there are several more races on the Horde that don’t seem to have an Alliance parallel. Such as Ogres, and Drogbar (as some joined Highmountain, and Highmountain joined the Horde). Not to mention the fact that there are now a handful of ‘other’ races in the ranks of the Forsaken, like some Leper Gnomes.

Edit: Also talking just about the Ankoan and Unshackled, even if both races did join their respective faction, that would only tip the scales even more toward the Horde, as the Unshackled consists of 4 notable races (Gilblins, Sea Giants, Makura, and Murlocs) while the Ankoan consist only of Ankoan.

But yes, essentially but as a leadership role.
