WoWs been heavily censored in China for years this is really nothing new. The other versions will most likely be fine and do it’s own thing as other countries have their own respective versions of games. It isn’t tumblr where it’s being heavily censored to appease one country and apple [due to ducking at controlling certain bots and edgy kids posting racist BS to troll frequenters]

The most likely thing to happen is they will just censor the current skimpy stuff, then never in the future design anything skimpy to keep their workload down. That way they don’t have to design 2 different sets of every armor.

I like skimpy fantasy armor. Whats wrong with player choice? Make a nice big library of models of every variety and let players go nuts. Thats the point of xmog like features.

They already have a censored game version for China, where bones are not shown. I’d imagine that adding in a black body suit to fill in the gaps for whatever skimpy armor we get here would not be an impossibility. We still get bone things and armorkinis here, they get a different looking version of those things there.

To be fair, the women in WoW are all too old for China, they like the skimpy on the young…
OK kidding… sorta, they do have a whole thing about that going on. Maybe Blizzard can compromise and promise to make all the eyes on female characters 10x bigger, that should do it for them.
Most recent is the questing armor we got this expansion. Skimpy on both males and females too. 
I wonder if all those Warlock Succubi and Shivarra pets will be forced to cover up?

The chinese WoW client also apparently censors skulls. That definitely hasn’t stopped Blizzard from putting skulls in environment models and gear.
