No more mythic +

How many people do you think would quit WoW if they totally removed mythic + and raids were the only option for top endgame gear like how it was before Legion. Mythic + is the type of thing that you ether love it or hate it and it has become a very dominant area of the game so i am curious if it went away would that actually kill off a huge portion of the player base or would you stick around and just shift to raiding?

wow would probably no longer be profitable if mythic plus were removed from the game.

40% of the playebase, for sure. Mythic+ been saving WoW for years now.

I would not go back to raiding. I would either do world content and forget about gearing or I’d play less and less. I’ve loved 5man dungeon content since the beginning of the game, m+, while at times far from perfect, keeps it relevant for me for longer.

They’d sooner remove PvP than mythic+

Why would it go away? No reason to do that.

It would probably lose a lot of people. Mostly because the outside content, including leveling has changed so much that the game couldn’t really live up to how it used to feel.

I’d be gone for sure

This may be something crazy to say but, I don’t care how many, I would rather not weigh the thought of people losing something they enjoy.

Just improve raiding. Removing something to make something else look better is lazy.

Mythic+ in Legion was awesome; however like any other content, the comunity needs to elite every piece of content with their raiderio score, absurd requirements to do low keys, “meta classes” and all of that elitist crap

People find meaningfulness and play a game mode that affords more agency than other game modes.

And the forums are still in denial about weekly login lootbox vault and timegate timeout raid lockouts being bad for wow.

I’m not doing M+ so i wouldn’t quit.

If they remove M+, I won’t lose any content that interests me.
I do M+ solely for achievements.

M+ has way too many stupid and aggressive players—if they leave the game, it will only be for the better.

Today, I joined a +13 Floodgate, and the entire group, except for me, died to the sawblades that spawn under your feet. I dragged the mobs to the spawn area, and we killed them. Then they died to the same mechanic again, and somehow, it was my fault because I wasn’t using Rain for damage. But unfortunately for them, I’m a Farseer, and I don’t do damage with Rain.

The DK from that group kept whispering insults at me and repeatedly reminded me that I wasn’t using Rain. To prevent me from replying, he blacklisted me after each message.

I have only ever encountered behavior like this in M+.

Will I regret it if we get rid of such players? No, I won’t. They belong in a special home, not in Azeroth.

i’d just ignore him the second i found out he had me blocked. and then make it a priority never to use Rain or w/e. Just to see his heart erode out of his chest.

one time back in Legion me and a player were cussing at each other. he says “are you sure? I’ll leave”. I replied “oh yea. all-capital censored”

I’d quit. If they made a huge power level difference between m+ gear and raid gear I would also quit because I don’t like raiding and feel like it would interfere with my ability to play m+.

I like other content in the game too but I can only do it for so long without getting bored.

I feel similarly about pvp, but

I don’t want their content deleted. Better moderation or better balance could help.

I don’t see how it would be beneficial to remove any pillar that doesn’t have major overlap with another, which currently none of them do.

Given current trends raiding is likely the first to be sunset, but removing the primary activity of any demo to try and bolster another would be self-destructive.

It would actually be an interesting experiment if M+ gave no gear/crest rewards for a season.

I have a strong suspicion that one of the largest subgroups that participates in M+ is actually M raiders who are crest/vault farming, due to how abysmal the drop rates are in raid.
