That fact that you don’t agree doesn’t make it any less true.
go to quel’danil lodge in the hinterlands. what do you see?

Currently, the High Elves — now Blood Elves — have an even more compelling point of diplomatic empathy.
correct. they are high elves. and so are the high elves of hinterlands but they are aligned with the alliance. and the silver covenant are mostly high elves, lead by veressa windrunner, who is an alliance high elf and sister of sylvannas and alleria. and alleria windrunner who is an alliance high elf now turned voidy and also a sister of sylvannas.
Like I said just add blue eyes as a Belf option. Void Elf Blue Eyes are Other Worldly, so just give them the normal clear eyes that High Elf NPCs often have. That would clear up alot of confusion about just what Blood Elves are.
It doesn’t say Blood Elves became High Elves. It says High Elves are now Blood Elves.
i know this. they are high elves who renamed themselves blood elves. meanwhile, alliance has high elves also, they just aren’t playable. we would like them to be playable. the argument against them isnt that they dont exist on the alliance, but rather the similarity of their silhouette, which is silly since if i wear a full helm, i look just like a blood elf, with the same silhouette.
even then, we offered to ask for them to look different from years of hanging out with humans, marrying humans, and so on. like they would take on more human characteristics. half elves. or dragon elves from being ship wrecked on dragon isles. etc. its not like blizz honestly cares what alliance players want anyway. they’ve let the faction basically fall off a cliff already. dont think you have much to worry about.
i’m going to classic, so that’ll be one less voice asking for alliance elves. dont sweat the little stuff
The High Elves at Quel’danil Lodge in the Hinterlands are pre-BC, before the introduction of the Blood Elves into WoW. They are old news.
nope. they are there now. and will pvp you as horde. they are alliance friendly high elves, called highvale sentries. they dropped in population from 46 to 15 because of the cataclysm. theres a dwarf and draenei there with them now.
Of course they are there now, and will remain there, because they are part of the original zones. WoW continents aren’t just a lot of land masses coexisting simultaneously, but rather are moments of time in WoW’s continuing story.
correct and the current population of highvale sentries at quel’danil look like high elves. they are hostile to horde. they are alliance high elves. alliance has high elves. not all the sunreavers followed kael’thas to outlands. some stayed with the alliance. many of those became the silver covenant, an alliance based army of high elves, lead by veressa windrunner, an alliance high elf.
honestly, none of this really matters.
They should have Sylvanas kill Lor’themar or something.
And then have some faction split where the ‘BloodElves’ turn into a neutral race, like the Pandaren. And then you do a quest line and choose to be Bloodelf or Highelf, thus rejoining the Alliance (there was some talk about this during the Wrathgate days).
The Highelves have blue eyes, the Bloodelves keep the green eyes. Simple.
No. Just no.
No that’s dumb and I don’t want anymore dead Horde leaders. Just give Blue Eyes to the Blood Elves so no one is under the delusion that Blood Elves and High Elves are distinct.
If you look at DnD, where WoW steals most of it’s ideas High Elves also called Sun Elves are arrogant, magic adept, racist, sunlight asethetic wearing blonde fair skinned elves. The High Elf stereotype and fantasy is already here in WoW it’s just on the Horde side. Let’s be real in an ideal world DnD High Elves would have their alignment recommendation listed as Neutral or Lawful Evil rather than Chaotic good. So Blizzard was actually a step up with that one.
Best idea I’ve heard all day.
you’re going to upset all of the high elf crazies on these forums for sure
I don’t see why since the only reason they want High Elves seems to be the blue eyes well that and the tallness. But that’s because they are bosses and have to be taller to be seen in combat not because High Elves are actually tall.
I also don’t see why they’re crazy about High Elves especially since they can now play them on the Alliance too.
I totally agree with your suggestion. Give the Blood Elves their blue eyes. The Sunwell is after all purified and once again consists of arcane energies. The eye colour of the Blood/High Elves is dependent on their energy source; green for fel, golden for light, and blue for arcane. And the Void Elves already have blue eyes.
What’s crazy is them asking for High Elves when they already exist on Horde side, which we just discussed. I know they want them on Alliance side, but that isn’t going to happen.
As things stand now, both factions have 2 Elf races each. That’s enough.
said many times, i think belfs should have access to blue eyes. in fact, i think we should all have alot more options since we dont have sliders to customize our characters. only solution is to ask for new races or ask the devs to give us customizations. as far as i can tell, wow is the only mmorpg where you have to fight tooth and nail just to have a human skin toned elf
