I have said this before in the past and I will say it again.
Please…please no more interdimentional multiverse cosmic nonsense. We had our fill on Shadowlands!!
There is still so much Azeroth without making the storylines so off the wall and disjointed.
I say this with peace and much love…

Agreed. Though, this really feels more like Space Gandalf went on a binger and left a risky message on a recorder and the College kids (the aspects) are trying to figure out were it went and was, as some mid level frat/sorority pledge.

I got bad news for you. Not only are the Dragons knee-deep in Titan nonsense (okay, fair, we always knew the Aspects got their power from Titans), but there’s huge hints that we have incoming Old God content too.

Space Gandalf lol.
I could not of said it better!
There is still so much unfinished business on Azeroth. Especially regarding the scourge still out running around without anyone keeping them under control. And even more…
This entire storyline is making my head hurt lol.
The movies they show on Mystery Science Theater 3000 make more sense than this nonsnese Lol!!!

For a story that literally starts with an alien invasion due to cosmic forces, I don’t think we’re done with either Azeroth or the Cosmic influences on the planet.

the old gods are some of the most interesting lore in the game. besides, if they dont go cosmic this expansion, in sure they will in the next one. So we will need some setup near the end, in 10.3 or something

Are cosmic shenanigans okay though?
I understand that and have read most of the lore and books. However, at this point ithe expansion feels so disjointed and spastic.
Like the other post said. This is turning into Space Gandalf LOL!!!
Yeah I’ve been waiting for Yoggy or something to resurface lol.
Well, we might as well have the Zerg or Protoss from Star Craft invade Azeroth LOL!! It would make more sense than this nonsense LOL

I do not mind some cosmic storylines; Warcraft has always been about invasions from other worlds.
It just needs to be more centered on Azeroth. If Zovaal had invaded Northrend immediately and we spent most of the expansion in revamped Northrend zones trying to contain the threat, then the same storyline would have felt better. Then, maybe in the final patch we could actually enter the Shadowlands properly, take the fight to him, and recruit help from other denizens in an Argus-style zone that included smaller versions of Bastion, Ardenweald, Maldraxxus, and Revendreth.
That all would have felt better.
Dragonflight is doing a better job so far. There are clearly some Titan and Old God (i.e. cosmic) story threads, but because we are exploring Azeroth and also have side quests and factions that enhance the world, the whole thing just feels better.

i get that. it would be nice if they could think up some new stuff more grounded. im pretty tired of them going back to the warcraft 3 well
Actually, lets just have the Zerg or Protoss (from Star Craft) invade Azeroth. That would make more sense than this hot mess lol
I called it before the expac launched that we might be dealing with Old God stuff again. Which I’m fine with.

I agree with the old god lore. But we dont want it taking a really stupid turn like they did with connecting the Lich King to the Jailer, Shadowlands etc LOL!!
I think you get my point. We do not want to go down the Shadowlands rabbithole again.
Why does that guy in the corner look like he could be WC3 Archimonde’s cousin?
(checks notes)
…Uh, guys, are you SURE retconning all this is a good idea?
Seriously, though, “No one knew where these creatures came from” is from the intro to Warcraft 1. (Spoiler alert: There was a dark portal.) It’s always been about interdimensional war, even before there were guns in Warcraft.
