No Moonkin form balance druid.

Hello druids of Azeroth, I have come to ask you if you ever raided without mookin form on, I know that the shapeshift form only give you incredible good advantages but it gets so... Boring after a while, it's either being a fat chicken, a ghost, a cat or a bear, the only way I could ever play just as my character is as resto, but then again, I am quite tired of healing.

So, anybody notice how much of a loss your 10% less damage was?
I don't use this myself nor do I condone it but if you're that tired of the forms use lucidmorph.

Eeh, I would prefer keeping within WoW ToS, apparently this tool violates it's terms.

Well, I guess I gotta test it the hard way, see how much DPS I lose and if it affects my raid group badly.

If you're remotely competitive its really going to affect your damage.... this is an odd and costly pet peeve to have.

Well, call me stupid but I play WoW 99% for the lore, I can't say I particularly enjoy it's mechanics, however, raiding with my friends became quite fun because of them, however, it annoys the heck out of me having to be shapeshifted(besides, no mog looks good in astral form =P)

Also, the reason I play a druid it's because I like night elves and most males are druids, so...

And the other classes "class fantasy" don't appeal that well to me.
I'd say that 10% damage loss made me do about 10% less damage. I really don't understand why people have a problem with Moonkin form. Druids are SUPPOSED TO BE SHAPESHIFTERS! Blizzard balances our class around needing to be in a form of some kind; so why gimp yourself for no reason? I mean really, if you don't like Moonkin form just pick another class, plenty of classes play like Boomkin.

Like I said, gameplay isn't really the factor when I choose a class, I don't know, it's hard to me to find another intersting class. But I suppose you're right.
Ummm.. there's a glyph to change moonkin form to your normal gear but with a cool aura...

Idk the name tho, because i freaking love being lazer chicken.
The community is divided on this one. You have the people that think if you don't love being a fat chicken, you should play something else, and you have another group that really would like to see their transmogs.

Personally, I love the shapeshifting into things like travel form (love the new dolphin glyphs) and flight form, but hate both the fat chicken and the stupid blue glyph of astral form. I did, however, totally love the original Glyph of Stars, which looked much the same, but didn't have the annoying blue tint. I assume it wasn't noticeable in PvP, which is why the awful blue came into effect, but Blizzard has never said anything about why they changed it. Blizz has also never indicated any intention to give moonkins different forms like the other specs, except for the new race-specific forms in BfA.

So, yeah, basically deal with being a fat chicken or smurf ghost. The 10% damage loss and armor bonus is too much to give up.

Did you carry the 2?
On my druid I used toys and savory deviate delight. It's not in my armor but it's a different shape for flavor.
I'll rarely bother to moonkin while out soloing. Overworld mobs don't need the 10%, and you're pretty much roast chicken in PVP anyway if someone gets the jump on you.

I wouldn't raid or dungeon with it off though :P
Up through Wrath, the old talent trees allowed a Balance / Restoration hybrid which I enjoyed playing. I think we called it the Dreamwalk spec... anyway it was enough points to almost get to Moonkin and almost get to the Treant form, but you didn't have either. I enjoyed it as a solo / group / pvp hybrid spec. But they crapped on hybrids by locking specs, and I still can't believe they split Feral and Guardian. The old talent trees are the main draw in Classic imo.
Glyph of stars is fine, it gives us the choice, but... i wish it had far less blue tint or none and simply made us slightly starry without all that.
Everyone deserves to play and enjoy the game whichever way they like.

Seeing how you only do higher end content with friends, then just do whatever you'd like. You could just pop into form for mechanics(armor, wild charge, polymorph resistance...etc.) or if you're in a spot where you need to be pushing some more DPS. If you're able to have fun and win content without form, then you're doing fine. This IS a fantasy game after all.
I think mages dont have forms
You’re playing the wrong class if you don’t like being shapeshifted. This is like saying you wanna be feral without cat form. The fact that they gave us glyph of stars has tricked you into thinking no shapeshifting is an option. This is an MMORPG. Being in form is necessary for the class fantasy.

This is the original Glyph of Stars - it had the starry effect, but not the blue tint. I though it looked amazing. In fact, that is why I finally made a Boomkin, because I loved the other forms, just not the fat chicken. Then they changed it to that awful blue color. Back on the bench for my druid. lol
If I'm not mistaken, you can combine the Drust Book toy that gives you the cool deep blue aura and Glyph of Stars to make your character non-transparent while in Moonkin Form. Perhaps that works best for you.
Why don’t you play priest then? If you’re leaning towards fashioncraft - priest could potentially fulfill your needs.. just my opinion
