There’s two mounts that I know of (sky golem & mechanized lumber extractor) and druid forms that allow you to stay mounted or shapeshifted while herbing.
Why do you think a mount that allows the player to stay mounted while mining hasn’t been released?
Do you think we’ll ever see a mount like that in WoW? Would you like to?
I’d like to see one. Although hopefully, if it flew, it wouldn’t induce extreme nausea like the Sky Golem does.

I thought the goblin head mount that engineers can build let you do it. the one from the MOTHERLODE. could be wrong though

Also, I know about stirrups. They aren’t permanent.
Are you trying to imply they’re why there’s not a mining mount?
oh cool, the stirrups summon a mount? I thought they were an expensive effect, that only lasts a short time. I gotta get one, in that case.

I think wod missed a big opportunity on a mining mount… with all the blackrock clan raid going on and stuff…
I really want it to fly, but if we got one, I imagine a derpy boar with a big round drillhead on his snout, or another ground craw… wait I got it! Honey Badger mount should be mining mount! Get on it Blizz.

it really makes sense that the Sky golem could just do either.
I mean its pretty nasty looking. Dont see why it couldnt just farm both.
It is kinda curious why we dont have an ore farming mount by this point.
Nope it has no special functions.
Because Blizz knows that they don’t give a rats tail about any crafter other than Alchemy.
Give us an ore extracting, drill hand, screeching beast!
Wont work on older or newer expansions areas. A mount would.

I believe the herbalism mounts were added because being able to pick herbs while ‘mounted’ was exclusive to Druids, and Monks maybe if you count Zen Flight as a mount-type feature.
However, Druids cannot mine in Flight or Travel form, so perhaps that’s why there’s no mining mount. That said, Monks can mine with Zen Flight, or they could last time I checked. So there’s that!
Druids in Flight form cannot mine, but they can skin and even do Archeology while flying. So, if nothing else, they should add Skinning and Archeology mounts. Or add Skinning and Archeology functionality to the Sky Golem and Mechanized Lumber Extractor. :]
Or, better yet, just add mount equipment that lets you do all of the above on any mount.
Probably not, but Druids should not be able to stay shape-shifted while herbing. Every class should have to dismount in order to get resources. It’s really as simple as that.
I use the Monel-hardened Stirrups all the time to farm ore. Works perfect with the flying disc mount.
No i wouldn’t, i don’t think you should be able to herb this way either. It cheapens anything you get from farming by making it incredibly easy to get.
