No Mechagon (Rustbolt Resistance) Emissary

Yet the reputation will still need to be Revered for Pathfinder Part 2. Now here’s the kicker. Mechagon has almost half the amount of world quests/reputation gains as Nazjatar. Nazjatar has extra world/daily quests courtesy of the bodyguard system, as well as +250 Rep tokens that randomly drop from rare spawns.

Rustbolt Resistance has no bodyguard system, and thus less world quests. There is one or two daily quests that award an astounding 75 rep each, but take anywhere from 15-45 minutes to complete.

There ARE rep tokens for this faction but unlike in Nazjatar where they’re looted from rares/treasure chests, they’re crafted from spare parts, that drop from the rares and treasure chests in the zone, but they’re also used for other things in Mechagon, such as building the various buildings in Rustbolt, mounts, and such, meaning you will have to hamper your progress in Mechagon in order to maximize your reputation gain. On top of this, the rep tokens only grant 100 reputation as opposed to the Nazjatar 250 Rep.

“But what about the Mega Dungeon!?” You might say. Yea. You get 250 rep at the very end for completing it. As you might remember from Return to Karazhan, finding a group to fully complete a Mythic-Only Mega Dungeon is incredibly rare, most will fizzle out after 5-6 bosses. My AotC Heroic-Geared guildies took about 3 hours to finish it on the PTR, and most people don’t have the patience to do it, and a good portion don’t have that type of time for a dungeon.

As someone with every reputation at exalted on the same character except for one (Arathi Basin, because I’m not about to sit through 150-250 games with the Alliance’s loss rate), even I can say that that’s really messed up.

This is adding an even larger timegate to Pathfinder Part 2 than is necessary. It’s like you went out of your way to make Mechagon’s reputation purposely incredibly difficult to increase, yet made Nazjatar’s reputation incredibly easy to increase. (I wager most people will hit exalted with their Nazjatar reputation well before they hit Revered with Mechagon)

At least with emissaries, we have a chance of having them speed up if luck is on our side and the emissary pops up.

And the kicker? I really hope you guys have level 25 battle pets, because there’s around 2k reputation of each zone locked behind the new Legendary Battle pets of Mechagon and Nazjatar (the first time you defeat them, you get a quest item you can turn in for 250 rep), and I don’t believe they scale with your pets level, unlike other the other pet related things in BFA. I have plenty of level 25 pets, but I know a lot of people don’t.

It’s not even live yet. Just like the daze bug on the PTR or the old pathfinder requiring both factions bug during beta… at least wait till the two week notice from the PTR.

This actually is good news because I hate Nazjatar so the less time I can spend there the better.

I’m not sure why you’re doomsaying when it’s explained right there in black and white.

The interview literally states it’s more like Timeless Isle and that if you’re dilligently logging in, you could get it in a few weeks.

I would say just like when BFA launched it will take 3 weeks of daily log ins to get your Revered Status with Both Factions.

Depends.

Blizzard mentioned random event WQ as well as progressive story WQ both of which could greatly slow down your progression. The first because the events may not happen during your play time for days/weeks (like invasions.) The second because the story segments themselves could be gated by preset time gates like Suramar as well as rep benchmarks like the war campaign.

It is a guess, not saying its 100% guarenteed.

Not having flying has actually been refreshing. It makes the world seem bigger and more challenging - not that the world of BFA is very challenging to begin with (really wish it was). And people have to grind a bunch to get a really cool privilege, so what? I believe it’s a good thing that we have to work for it, it’s better this way. If players are handed flying for little to no effort, where’s the fun in that? There would be no sense of accomplishment. Also, someone said it already - it’s too early. Lets wait a little bit before we start criticizing.

If it were up to me, the only flying in the game would be the flight paths. Good thing I’m not a developer, so many people would be upset lol :cow:

This is excactly my thoughts on flying.

For the record, this thread was made before any site reported the fact the World Quest in the zone gave 850 rep a day. Which is better than an Emissary, which is 1500 rep every like week. Together with the missing world quests, added with the daily quests, they average out to even more Rep than Nazjatar with the Emissary and World Quests. (Only reason I’m higher on Nazjatar Rep is cause of the mass amounts of rep you get from the follower EXP items and such)

I actually wish they had done this for every zone rather than Emissaries. I would actually go to every zone and do it.
