I’d love to see this revoked back to cata/mop times. Zero reason I shouldn’t gain 50+ points a win if I’m 400+ mmr above my cr in any bracket. 2s. 3s. idc.

I don’t think Blizzard not letting you hit X rating in X games, and not assaulting employees are in the same ballpark. Lol
It is a little discouraging to win a 2600 mmr blitz and get like 24 points at 1700 cr.
Similar thing with 2s where you know it’s gonna be forever to get caught up on pointless cr.

Would 3s feel better if it had the same type of dampening that shuffle has, where it stacks up faster + no drinks at all? Think that’d fix shadowmeld and dampeners maybe?

That Blue post Seratox quoted was pretty clear. It’s hard to imagine where the crazy is coming from.
-Blizz talks internally often about this:
“MMR, rating, and associated rewards are topics that the team monitors and discusses frequently, and we’ll continue to do so in future seasons.”
-They also are careful:
“We need to be cautious about making changes to MMR and rating, to best ensure that we’re not creating unwanted effects or trends that do more harm than good to the ladder overall.”
I’m not saying that some of you sound like nuts, but if nuts made a sound, I’m pretty certain it would be very similar.
“For clarity, there is no cap to MMR, but the highest rating is a result of the combination of population trends and lack of inflation…” <== hard to argue with.
You know as well as I do that wow PVP is unlike any other PVP in any other game. I don’t care about PVP and other games. I care about this game and the decisions that they’ve made capping MMR is stupid. They’ve never done it this bad in the past. I don’t know why they started last expansion. Who cares? How fast people climb. It’s PVP it’s what people want. Just let us PVP the way we always used to.
