They tried to kill the community perception boss.
Thing is, that boss can never really be killed.
They tried to kill the community perception boss.

Could you be more clearer.
I can’t follow all forms of abstract definitions.
… yeah, so how many of the pro-ML people in this thread have “always had it good”
I believe i’ve stated many times that I’ve had negative experiences with it. most of the proML people in this thread have admitted to having bad experiences.
its not confirmation bias, its understanding that the good massively outweighs the bad, since the bad is 100% avoidable when both choices are available.
again, the pro ml side generally are just accounting the experiences together, and then comparing to the norm.
and then you add in the stats like the pl/ml spread of guilds that was posted before and you can get a better picture of what the truth somewhat looks like.
the reason we’ve commented on the lack of legion stories is because that seems to be the time that no ninja’ing was happening.
so those horror stories apparently were solved by forcing pugs to use PL.
so it could very well be below 1% of the time.
theres no way to prove that. They just tried PL and it sorta worked, and now you’ve got the dev saying he wants to bring ML back.
Community perception boss refers to something where a large, vocal section of the players are loudly stating that something is both true and a problem, even when it’s not a problem.
I see the removal of ML as an attempt to get more players to join a raiding guild.
They “removed” one of the arguments against raiding of “you’re going to encounter a corrupt loot council, and you won’t get loot as a trial”.
Thing is, corrupt loot councils weren’t really common, and didn’t last that long once raiders realized what was happening. And, while you might have been lower priority as a trial, once you pass the trial and make the team, you tended to jump to near the top of the priority list, as the officers know that if they want you in for prog, you’ll need to be as geared as possible.
It’s a maybe not a definite yes.
You would see alot more anti-ML if it was guaranteed. It isn’t.
It’s a definite “we want to do this, we just need to figure out how”
That’s lawyer talk for maybe.
Probable deniability. No promises where made.
but if its a maybe, its for sure not a “we couldn’t find a possible ML solution so we gave up and did PL”
and instead
“we tried pl, and it sort of worked, so we just went with that, and now it’s causing its own issues”
you keep saying this, but it really has no merit.
half of your most recent arguments have just relied on people hiding and not wanting to talk.
That’s because they’re much wiser than I.
ah got it. ok then I can freely say
There are tons more pro ML people out there, they are just afraid of being harassed by people like holi
or worried someone will find some random quote of them and start harassing them with it, like you’ve been doing to snozh.
they would speak up, they just don’t want to be put into that uncomfortable situation.
they are much wiser than I.
Be that as it may, that doesn’t make either side more just than the other.
In the end the ball is in Blizzards court and I have every confidence after their algorithm for diversity was discovered that they will screw it up royally.
saving this quote. I’ve been villainized a ton just for liking ML.
There is a lot of hurt out there.
Again you’re just not seeing it since ML wasn’t officially announced as a returning feature.
the hurt minority are often much louder than the majority.
this is basically a religion at this point though isn’t it?
That can slice either way in this case.
You’ll never get the full story on these forums.
then why do you put so much faith in the “horror stories”
I’ve lived several of them.
again, there seems to be a common link for you.
how do you even decide on guilds?
Even of the ones you claimed to have lived, I suspect you are only telling us a very 1 sided view of the events.
I play my own way.
