No Loot on Heroic Opulence

A caution for folks…last Friday we downed heroic Opulence. We ran around like normal to pick up those gold piles. Two of us could not see the boss after this and could not loot. :frowning: (I’ve ran around for the gold piles before and the rest of the raid had no issues besides the two of us, so no idea what caused the bug.)

The major pain, Blizzard support won’t look up in the database tables what we should have received and send it to us in the mail. The response ticket just said to kill the boss again if I want Opulence loot…awesome help there.

Oh well, we don’t get great support all the time.

Do the items not get mailed to you if you don’t loot it off the boss, once you zone out of the instance? If something dropped for you, it would have been mailed to you. If you didn’t receive mail, nothing dropped for you.

Most likely Opulence’s corpse fell through the grate in the middle. On normal last night, the corpse fell partway through but we were still able to loot it.

Any loot will still be mailed to whoever had loot.

It’s also possible you had no loot, and everyone who had loot looted the boss, causing it to despawn. Bosses despawn rather fast after everyone with loot loots them.

Are you talking about the small gold piles all over the place which drop gray items which sell for like 15 gold? they can only be looted by 1 player I thought and 1 player could loot them all for a grand total of like 200 gold

The gold piles can drop boe gear

Any mob can drop BoE gear, its essentially works like as if you are looting a regular trash mob you killed in the same raid.

I got a gray item that sold for 150 gold.

Ok so if you get 10 of them 1500 gold, still pocket change.

I looted a BoE from the Gold Piles and moved in excitement before I was able to actually loot it and the pile de-spawned or someone else looted the pile and got a grey item and did not get anything sent to me via mail. I know it was the BoE Mail Waistguard of Elemental Resistance Heroic belt and reported it to a GM and they say no such thing ever happened… so yeah, there’s also that.
