Gear is so easy to obtain now, and people say LFR is for the story… fine then, no loot in LFR… it would avoid having too much of a ilvl increase each tier and could make keeping the balance of gear reward easier.
What do you think?

You can expect queue lines to go from 30 minutes to 3 hours.
LFR gear is only 370 anyways, it is pretty obsolete when quests give 385 azerite and 400s come about 1-2 times a week. I like it for transmorg though, keep the gear coming!
Bad idea…but I think LFR is a bad idea also so what do I know
Oh cool this one again
Gear as you said is “so easy to obtain” and LFR gear is far from top-of-the-line.
So what’s the problem with LFR awarding gear then?
Frankly the arguments that “LFR is bad” usually fall into 1 of 3 categories:
I think you need to stick to your own content and leave other people’s content alone.
That’s what I think.
One point though, if a person’s average ilevel is low, they aren’t going to see 385 emissary rewards. Several of my alts are in the 350-360 range, and the same 385 reward that i see on this char is only 355 for them.
I don’t know anyone who says this except the trolls trying dismiss LFR for “reasons”…
Its the stupidest idea I heard more than 6 times today.
Agree with that even if I am the OP.
Was just wondering other people s opinions.
At the rate we are going with gear seems like another stat squish is inevitable and it doesn’t seem to be handle that well wich sucks for the players.
Bad idea to remove loot.
People who cry about LFR are the same people who would never in their life run with any of these PUG’s anyways. It is honestly pretty childish crying at this point.
Yeah, but the 370s are still bottom barrel at this point and will only serve to help people get into Normal or M+ of they want. Otherwise, there’s not much reason a progression raider should care if someone is getting 370s out of LFR at this point. At least, I’m not sure why they would care.
Meh, it’s already the same as m0.
I think that’s an acceptable place for it to be.
LFR is fine the way it is. Let the arguments go.
At this point, harm LFR, and azeroth will bleed more subs than it’s bleeding azerite.
If you clear LFR before normal or Heroic, you should get a Behind the Curve achievement.
You know the answer to this: because reasons.
I’m going with that answer. “Reasons”. I have never seen a good, convincing reason on why LFR shouldn’t drop gear much less why it shouldn’t exist.
At least good enough for my opinion. I’ve been arguing in favor of LFR since day one of it’s existence.
Okay, THAT was funny.
Agreed, 370 is still an upgrade for many slots on my alts. That said, never entering a raid or instance it is easy to get your gear up to 380ish by doing the 400 upgrades when they come along, and getting to the point where emissaries reward 385 gear. Actually had a ring on my alt titanforge to 405 from the Tortollan emissary a couple of days ago. That is a full 35 ilvl improvement from the LFR gear, which is crazy lol.
I’m a fan of LFR for no other reason than the fact that I like to see the content that is in the game. I am a full on tourist when it comes to LFR, and am completely fine with it haha!
I don’t think LFR is really that big of a problem. At least not compared to warforge or titanforge.
Besides, LFR is never going away and people are always going get rewards for doing it. The problem crops up when LFR loot forges up.
LFR isn’t “for the story”, it exists to justify the time and resources devoted the creation of raid content.
The reason such justification is necessary is because too few people were engaging in raid content which ate up a significant amount of the dev budget.
So to appease the bean counters, Blizzard came up with LFR to get a lot more people to engage in content that uses all the assets made for raids. The loot that drops is the incentive to get people to use LFR. Incentive is necessary because if too few people engage in LFR, then the bean counters come back and say the devs are wasting time and money on it.
Ultimately when you suggest ridiculous ideas like removing loot from LFR (or nerfing it like they did in WoD which they changed course on), you’re basically shooting yourself in the foot because the bean counters would end up significantly reducing the budget for raid content creation overall.
