I know the season is “over,” however this in between week is usually used for gearing up alts/catching up on PVP etc. Crest acquisition has never been disabled for this in the past. There is no real reason to play this game next week without being able to upgrade gear, the items we get from vault will be lower than what we have equipped and non-upgradeable. This has not worked this way in the past, why is it changed now?

Oh. If you can’t upgrade this week that’s a huge bummer.
Based on the posts we’ve been seeing, someone at HQ feel asleep on the big red button and flipped the switch early.
People have been reporting no drops and satchels can’t be opened for almost 2 hours now.
What do you do with excess crests etc. Vendor trash?
i also didnt get crest at end of dungeon. Signed on to farm a few more to craft one last piece b4 reset. Lol why blizz?
Yeah, I hope it was a mistake. My warlock had 9 crests, finished the dungeon and got zero. I am ONE CREST away from fully upgrading my gear lol.

just did a key on my druid, can confirm there were no crests. I actually wanted to do some last minute farming on it. Didn’t even know they planned to turn off crests for next week until earlier today, was going to do some today and some tomorrow but i guess i can’t even do it today.
Unfortunately they rarely make good on their mistakes. To them their mistakes are just your bad luck.

I spent some on my main, along with a toon I don’t plan to play to upgrade low ilvl pieces for more xmog appearances.
