feel free to go back to the original way of farming LFR Castle Natharia then with long queues, for your alts then
If he’s talking about the article on wowhead it is what we already have… spending farmable currency that takes way to long to farm, on a pure RNG item. Pure garbage in my opinion.

Locking legendary gear behind bosses at random was and always will be a terrible idea.
You get your BiS from the first boss of a 5man? Congrats.
You get your BiS from a two patch old raid? Sucks to be you.
Fixing bad design choices should not take a year to happen in a game with a monthly sub and paid expansions.

There is a solution now, you can use 2000 research iirc. I think it’s the exact same item that’s in Korthia right now. You can also use 35 grateful offerings and get this item from the covenant halls.

So, why don’t add all legendary powers for a soul ash cost and you can target one, instead they just provided the same RNG box that was implemented since 9.0, they already failed by keeping powers to an old raid that didn’t have anything to bring players back to it and now by keeping RNG factor here.
People will complain because it’s still a design issue that persist, when there’s a clear solution , just check how Legion Implemented “Arcanomancer Vridiel” a vendor with all legendarie available that you could target against a currency (Wakening Essence). If we receive a proper solution during Legion and then on Shadowlands an awfull RNG design, players will perceive this as a step back on good desing.

there was nothing stopping you from getting the other legendaries and then use the books to get your BiS legendary, from callings in 9.0 and korthia in 9.1
At this point in the expansion the vendor in oribos next to flightpath should offer a BoA item that auto learns all legendary memories for 500g like the all conduits item

that will happen in 9.2.5 probably, since at that point the expansion is over
Arcanomancer Vridiel didn’t sell specific legendaries till 7.3.5, when too at that point the expansion was over
so if people want this option, they’ll just have to wait, till then, there are different ways to get their legendary coming 9.2
And that´s what people don´t want from Blizzard to expect that QoL have a schedule like you mention, Devs should just learn from previous mistakes.

that option is given cause the expansion is already at its final chapter of the book, at that point people already gotten their end of expansion stuff like AOTC/CE, Seasonal M+ titles, etc etc
if you were waiting that long for QoL changes, its safe to say you weren’t even interested in end game content to begin with, this is fine, wait for your specific legendary vendor if you were never going to bother with SL content at endgame
Their hubris prevents that.

It’s a mistake if you look for player satisfaction, if a new player or returning player joins later and some source of power is 100% but nobody is running, there should be a determinisitc alternative in game. Its about how to promote the game to different players and understanding the issues and the mental blocks that this kind of “fix” could cause.
There’s a huge playerbase mindset around WoW not being on a good playable state until the last patch due to this, because players want to be able to play with those QoL, if they don’t want to kill a raid, include a currency like justice points, valor points or a questline for a cosmetic that involves Castle Nathria…etc provide life to that raid the whole expansion. Legion did this by adding a questline and cosmetics, so players run Emeral Nightmare the whole expansion.

They did. It’s very easy to get almost all of the legendary powers just by playing. Then use the purchased item to get the last 1 or 2.
That’s what I did. It’s what anyone sensible would do, at least I figured it’s what anyone sensible would do.

Exactly but not all players have the same perception or want to invest that amount of time, and you should think from the perspective from players that do threads around this RNG catch up, they just want the legendary power:
- improve Castle Nathria to be alive the whole expansion,
- provide a deterministic way to get the legendary,
- move legendary powers to bosses on next raid, easy!
If i was a player looking for a specific legendary, i’ll notice that i need to farm all world bosses, honor for another one, all dungeons…etc any of those could be skipped and just add another box and we’ve a better chance based on any legendary power already collected, but from a returning player or new player this just look like a big chore (creates a mental block) to acquire the power that you want to play. Just check how Legion handle this better that this SL design.
