Classic economy is so destroyed. Botting will only get 1000x worse in TBC if the level 58 boost goes through.

That’s just one aspect of the multifaceted problem this represents. The worst is we have a minority of our own bretheren cheering it on.
It’s not conjecture or a guess, it’s not up for debate. This will ruin the game for a second time and give you retail. I don’t have the time to talk to someone who isn’t going to be honest about it and why they are for it.
And for those ignorant or not sharp enough to see it for themselves but are honest enough to give fair hearing to grievance…they can just watch the madseason video to understand.

Blizzard sent out a survey discussing this matter a while back. Safe to say their decision was based on the results of said survey
What’s more, we had a community-driven survey a bit ago that has the results at 56% in favor or indifferent toward the boost
While neither of these are conclusive by any means, they’re certainly way more than a YouTube video with a couple thousand likes, where the people most likely watching said video are those who already agree with the video creator

Regardless of your opinion on retail, subs were falling long before boosts were introduced. They had nothing to do with the “decline” of retail, again stop spreading false statements as proof of your opinion
Because insults in the same breath as saying “I don’t have time to bother” certainly makes people want to open a genuine discussion with you
It can, and it will. You can either suck it up and deal with it and then not even notice a change a week after launch, or continue to be a baby about it and then quit the game so reasonable people, booster and non-booster alike, can enjoy the game

Can you prove that it is worth the $$ price for bots to buy boosts instead if leveling? No one has yet.
The only math I’ve seen done on it proves that boosts will not he worth it for bots to purchase. I have a feeling at the very start people will try using boosts for bots then figure out it’s better to level it in the world.

I believe the bots and gold framers will be the first one anti boost. And they don’t need level 58 to farm gold, all they need is a 24/7 computer.
Every one buy from Blizzard to boost, who will buy gold from them?
Blizzard offer official boost and increase exp rate, to suppress the gold black market.

If blizzard wanted to supress the gold black market they could.
They knew how to do it back in 2007, the amount of characters banned was staggering and it was genuinely a widely held belief that it was not worth the risk to try and buy gold.
THAT was 12 years ago and if you think this modern multi-billion dollar company couldn’t deal with botters if they wanted i’ve got a bridge to sell you, as madseason would say.
These people are lying to you about why they are doing this, undeniably.

I’m guessing the same. The way I understand it, it costs next to nothing to start up a bot and let it do it’s thing. Using a boost just tacks on a monetary risk if the bot is banned too soon. It will also suffer diminishing value the longer a bot is allowed to farm. Seems like there’s only a specific sweet spot where a boost would benefit a botter.

Nice framing, now if you take the people who are indifferent in that poll you cited and add their number where it belongs, with people who are against it. you have a LARGER majority than 56%
And make no mistake, no boosts is the default position and any attempt to frame it otherwise is dishonest at best.
classic was launched with the promise of no boosts or gold selling and it has remained such for 2 years.
Now if you and these capitalists want to change that, you should have to get an actual majority behind it.
Honestly they can do or don’t, there are some really high quality private servers out there now who know how the provider-consumer relationship works and are willing to do whatever people want to make money.

You are misleading people by lumping in people who dont’ care one way or another with the people who want boosts. They could jsut as easily be added into the column of those against.
The point, which you have now forced me to spell out to everyone, is that you were hiding the truth by doing that. Take the indifferents out and you see the reality
