I do not have a Keyring at all after applying the latest patch. I have submitted a ticket in game, but could not submit one to tech because the ticketing system requires a DxDiag which is entirely irrelevant for this issue. I have heard others stating they are also missing the Keyring entirely, so perhaps this is related to any bugs with it. Thank you.
Are you using some silly bag addon? That would be why

- do you have a mac by chance?
To be able to get the keyring you need to loot a key.
Ahhh, right on. I wasn’t sure if that was the case. Some friends that don’t have keys have the keyring. Thank you! Also to Gythriel, no to both of those, at least no keys on this toon. Thanks!

Also I think there is a Level requirement on the number of slots you’ll get.
Apparently it has nothing to do with not having a key. Got an answer to my ticket last nite. Updated the one addon that could have messed with this (it’s VERY lightweight & shouldn’t interfere with the ui this far) & it instantly worked…for the character I was on…Logging into a different toon creates the same issue all over again.
Which tells me this has little to do with addons. Now it’s not showing up for other characters, so the addon seems to of had minimal impact. Given that it’s impossible for me to update the addon again, this tells me there’s most likely a bug. It was asking for things to go wonky by messing with the API. I still need this issue addressed. Thank you.

Have you tried dumping the WTF folder?
It caches some things, that might affect it.
Also some addons do per character pref saving
could it be that the updating caused change to the one toon, but simply did not replicate to the others?
Can you try cleaning the prefs for the others to see? Just an idea.
What happens if you load up one time with no addons?

Bahhhh! Right! The WTF folder was on my to do list & got lost in the shuffle of a busy day/nite. Thanks for the reminder. Good lookin’ out. I’m gonna go do that.
I did do some pretty heavy cache cleaning (system in full) to try to take care of this, but I probably should try manually as well.
Right, initially I was thinking this as well, but it seems that they are saved across the account & the update actually made it work, so I’m not inclined to think that’s the case on this, but I plan on looking into that as well.
LOL also my next step, as a last resort. I’ll try these things and report back. Thanks!
(I hadn’t run thru everything as outlined above, but was hoping gen cleaning would help. Figured I’d update so they can investigate possible bug). Appreciate it.

Cleaned cache, even disabled ALL addons, still not showing up at ALL.
@Blizzard would appreciate you taking a look at this. This is extremely frustrating. Alot of tedium for something that should just work. (And again, it did after I updated an addon. Til I switched toons, which suggests this isn’t an addon issue. I disabled them all, updated EVERY SINGLE one that had an update, so over 95% of them fully updated, STILL didn’t work. Any that weren’t dont affect ui anyway). Not an addon issue I think, again. Blizzard however, does since using this new api, does have separate instances of settings between characters which is just…sloppy to say the least & frustrating. Again, leading me to think there’s something buggy going on.
I’ve seen a number of other people with this problem as well, so I know it’s not just me, but they’re getting lost in all the noise that’s outta control on the forums…

if you do that and /reload can you see it now?

It mysteriously “fixed itself” & showed up in game while I was playing (with all addons enabled I’ll add) about 3hrs after I made this post. xD
