No Humble Gladiator's?

I was just wondering why nobody who has earned the title Gladiator, doesn’t show it? seems like 100% of people who earn it, use the title.
in pve or other places of the game, not everyone runs around showing off their titles.
is this just a pvp problem, maybe people are insecure?

or maybe it’s still one of the most impressive titles in the game and people are proud to wear a title they’ll lose in a few months again? (not to mention every cutting edge raider uses their title too)

also idk what it has to do with humility but w/e

No im just genuinely surprised ive never seen a 2500+ rating player who didn’t use the title.

because below 2500 they don’t have the title

But why not use another title/name combination ? 100% of the time they are showing off their rating.

if i had to guess, it’s probably because gladiator isn’t that impressive to a lot of people now a days since it was put at 2400

if i got it, i’d prob just keep using titles more fitting to my character or unobtainable ones like “The Chosen”

What sense is there not using it? It’s not a permanent title and it’s second to r1. Regardless of how easy glad may be in any given season, they still got it.

I mean, it’s a limited time title unless you get rank 1… So people use it while they have it. Won’t mean much now, but being the top .5% in arena wasn’t really an easy feat.

I mean, if you go back to before we had the single ladder there were like 2-3 battlegroups every season where the glad cutoff was around 2400, even under it sometimes

In season 14 the glad cutoff was 2350 something on the new ladder

gladiator at 2400 is a total joke, this is gonna sound hella toxic but im not gonna wear a title that a dh got who cant even land a kick simply because inflation carried them there. simple

Bc, just like every single season since BC someone has a comp to complain about and how “x comp is op so your rating doesn’t mean anything” First it was Rogue/druid 2’s in bc with hpal/warr, then in wrath it’s dk’s, any caster comp, or smourne tsg. Like if they were running it they would be infinitely better than the top end arena players who are running the same comp.

Yeah I don’t get it. I’m not going to pretend I don’t think fire RMpala is effing disgusting makes me want to neuter myself but I’m not about to sit here and discredit some else’s progress or say I would have done better. :man_shrugging:

Now if multiple people going for R1 decide to jump at each other’s necks lmk so I can grab :popcorn:

I know a number of people who dont wear their bfa glad title just cause they think its trash now. but the point of winning rewards and titles is to wear the title right…?

Depends, some people will be getting their first Gladiators, others have gotten it before and just don’t really see it being respectable anymore. So they won’t wear it.

I’ve always thought it is weird that you lose your PvP titles after a season unless you get R1. No other aspect of the game losses titles after the content is no longer “relevent.”
