Like how come I see mages getting two or three pieces of cloth gear in one run and I get nothing? Is there some cause for this? In seven dungeons on Mythic I have four slots with gear and I see other people with nine slots filled. What the #&@*?

No more titanforging means they had to cut back gear drops a lot to keep you running dungeons.
Yeah, but how come other people are getting three piece of gear in one run and I’ve gotten nothing in three of my runs?

It’s maddening because I heal and now my logs in my new guild are going to be garbage.
It’s pure RnG. If you don’t get lucky, you just have to wait next week.

In my case, like healing is hard enough, but without good gear it’s even harder. Yaaay.

You do realize that some of those people you are running with may have had the gear given to them by someone who already had a better piece?
I did all 8 Mythics and got 5 pieces of gear. On my Other Side run the hunter got 3 gear drops that run.
It’s just RNG.
Edit: Also it doesn’t really matter. It’s week 1, we don’t need full mythic sets yet.
When they got 3 they probably got 0 in other runs. Everyone tends to average out near the same.
That being said I don’t think conduits and legendaries take up your loot chance. Might just be a different chance to roll it
Yeah, I know. But Blizzard ought to balance the RNG a little better. It’s simply a few lines of code to balance it out so that when you already get something it reduces your chances of getting more, and vice versa. I can think of a dozen other ways to set up drops so people dont walk away empty handed or the opposite. Like come on Blizzard. Simply a system with a chest at the end as in M+ would do it.

I’ve been dealing with this since I started raiding. Last xpac, my heroic gear was all hand-me-downs from other guildies. I have learned to not let it bug me.
It’s just really not necessary. This gear will be outdated and garbage in a few weeks anyway. Then we can move on to Mythic+ and Raids where we will have far more steady streams of gear on repeatable content.
Well, it hurts for us healers cuz whole groups are depending on us. Not to say it should be any different for anyone else, but as a healer you really need good gear, and it helps everyone in your groups.

Honestly it’s a bit frustrating…I’ve ran 5 on this toon and 4 on my lock…out of 9 dungeons I’ve gotten 5 pieces of gear. Mind you they always seem to drop 5 pieces of gear.

Want to impress your new guild when it comes time to raid. Come prepared and don’t stand in bad stuff. Honestly for most guilds that is fine. People who worry so much about their logs when doing progression tend to hold back the rest of the raid because they die to mechanics.
I think they’re trying to tell you to upgrade to mage. 
Sadly they didn’t really design personal loot with the current gearing paradigm in mind.
When M+ was created in Legion, it came with personal loot and titanforging, because titanforging meant you would very unlikely see BIS drops every week, they were more lenient on throwing as much gear your way as possible, even if that gear wasn’t Titanforged with socket
Now that titanforging is gone, there is only 1-3 peices of loot on a boss, rather then 20 or so different varations thanks to titanforging, and blizzard failed to recognize this fact, they should have either A: reworked loot entirely, or B: added in more item varations giving bosses 3-6+ items per, rather then 1-3
But because the loot tables are so tiny, and personal loot designed with titanforging in mind, its going to just suck because that loot treadmill is how they keep you subbed long term, and sadly they didn’t realize that getting no good loot per week is going to absolutely suck.
Damn, only getting 3 epics in a day? That’s brutal. Blizzard, this is unacceptable, give us easier epics, we don’t want to have to actually work for them these days and our patience is non existent.
