I have a Darkmoon Faire quest to give 15 Fossil archeology fragments but there are no fossil dig sites on either continent. I’ve been looking for days now and even after reset, nothing.
I haven’t done archaeology since Cata because I think it’s one of the worst time sinks ever put into an MMO, but if I recall, if there are none up do the other dig sites until one appears.

You can also do any other dig site and then trade the boxed artifacts in for fossil fragments.
