I’m just guessing and stirring the pot, but I’m thinking we won’t be able to fly at all in SL.

From the Bastion and Kyrian announcement, the common utility ability they offer:
Sounds like a nice ability, but completely overshadowed by flying.
You can only choose one Covenant. “Player agency” means choices matter and have consequences. So is this permanent, never changing ability for your toon going to be obsolete when Pathfinder comes out?
Seems like a bit of a waste of an ability to me.

I mean it’s just like mount speed equipment in Legion/BfA that is nullified by flying. Pathfinder will still exist, and those buffs will be useless when we get flying, just like the other expansions.

I figured the zones being spread out and floating in the sky meant they were thinking with flying in mind

Sure, I get that, but the mount buffs are pretty minor in the overall scope of the expansion compared to one of the two abilities permanently tied to your toon.
It could also be considered much like rogue and Druid stealth, it’s simply the permanence of it that makes it interesting. How boring will the other covenants be.
I would be okay with a no-flying expansion.

it wouldn’t surprise me. i really kind of expect ion to try and pull something like that. he has made pathfinder a real pita, and lengthened the gap between parts 1 and 2 from legion to BfA quite a bit. almost like he’s trying to get us use to no flying.

The top level zone sounds to be annoying by design, since it’s supposed to be dangerous. And everyone knows that most folks find danger annoying in WoW.
It’s more the zones with huge vertical cliffs everywhere with only one path up them, and roads that lead to dead ends… I much prefer flatter zones similar to the 1-60 zones, with a few cliffs here and there with multiple ways of traversing them.

We have mount equipment that grants a parachute, yet can fly.
But it’s not a permanent choice. You can always switch it out. Lots of abilities overlap class abilities.
Just seems something like this is very expensive due to its permanence.
I would like to see a mount equipment that grants non-flying mounts the ability to fly.
Or some other means to achieve that.

That doesn’t really mean anything since we don’t get flying for most of the expansion now.
Druids had flying as a built in ability, that didn’t stop them from trying to remove flying so I wouldn’t think one is related to the other.
I actually think that would be the last straw for me in this game if they had a bunch of mounts not intended to fly all of a sudden flying around.
Hopefully they learned their lesson in WoD and it’s just for the pre-pathfinder part of the expac.

Didnt you know? Cats and other creatures with legs can now fly in wow, or sprout wings.
See the saber from invasions.
Then don’t fly and stop forcing your views on the rest of us.

Have you even taken a look at them - some of them are Nazjatar two from the footage.
i bet a quite a few of those people have since left.
Then you should really quit right now.
Because we got horses, cats and even moose that can fly, with no wings.
And yes, even a flying pig as a store mount.
