Flight Whistle would be nice for WQ’s
A recall to Covenant would be awesome

I think the no Hearthstone excuse is because we’ll unlock a teleport to Oribos from our Covenants.

I think one of the renown rewards is a covenant hearthstone no? It’s just outside of our timegate right now.

Not really. We’re referring to why you can’t really quick travel with anything anymore like the flight whistle.
They are slowing us down. No other reason.

Right after I picked the covenant, I went to upgrade the garrison to level 3, so I can use the garrison hearthstone as another portal hopper to get to Oribos, so I can set hearth to the covenant.
Don’t forget the guild cloaks.
It offers another 3 teleports to stormwind.

Yeah I have a ton of items to port me to port major cities. It lessens the burden.

Cosmetic Hearthstone Toy
Ya likely, we have a garrison hearthstone and dalaran hearthstone if you need to get back to Oribos is very easy using Dalaran’s then taking the SW portal then the Oribos Portal.
Ya really the only thing I wish they kept is updating the Flight Whistle. I mean even with flying in BfA and Legion I would still use it to get out of mob infested area’s from WQ’s.
Already have 3 hearthstones and few toys to switch the original one’s animation
In 5-10 years , we’ll need an entire 34 slot bag just for HS ? 
I just set my hearth to convenant and fly to oribos so whenever im “done” there so i can access other zones faster if need be.
It’s a toy but not cosmetic. I’m looking at it right now and it even says you can bind it to other places but it starts at your covenant house. (Honestly that last bit has me worried it will just share the regular hearthstone mechanisms, but we’ll see.)
I didn’t mind no flying in Legion and BfA with the flight whistle and abundance of flight paths. The hearthstone was nice, but not a big deal with the portal room upgrades in SW and Org. I just hit 60 and haven’t been back to Stormwind since the expansion started. Only reason I left the new zones at all was to go to Acherus for runeforging new weapons.
Nothing escapes the Maw - is my guess.

Because it’s easier to pad metrics by game design made to eat up time than it is to make content engaging and [enjoyably] repeatable

If you’re looking at it in game it’s destination will show where you have your hearth set. It’s just another hearthskin.

Damn. Blizzard really can’t do anything right these days.
You can later unlook a teleport network at your covenant, which will include the ability to return to the covenant from out in the world.
Rumor has it there is one in Torghast.
Honestly, as much as I hate it, I kind of get the Maw no-mounting-up thing. That one makes some semblance of sense, although it infuriates me to no end when Alliance pick a fight with me, realize they’re gonna lose, and then just Ghost Wolf or Druid Travel Form away from me. Very annoying.
The Flight Master’s whistle I think is a bit problematic, purely because it would be nice to have. Is it the end of the world? No. That’s okay. It’d just be nice.
The hearthstone to Oribos one I actually get. They’ve never once expected mortals to be around. Hell, the only reason we even have living accommodations and an inn is because of the Brokers. Dalaran had been expecting mortals and had prepared a hearthstone for us because it made sense. We just kind of plopped in Oribos unannounced.
