No experience bar in TWW

No experience bar. I have the base version. Im not gaining xp either. Lots of people in general chat asking the same question. very frustrating

Bump for no exp bar (can’t tell if i’m gaining experience or not despite the chat log)

I had the same issue and this post finally helped me fix it: https://www.reddit.com/r/wow/comments/1f25myy/experience_never_turned_on/

  • Join follower dungeon
  • Wait ~30sec till you get a XP debuff (I’ve never noticed this before so I suspect this is part of the bug)
  • Once you have the debuff you can leave the dungeon and you should now see your XP bar and start gaining XP

I’m really hoping Blizzard realizes this is a bug and recovers the XP for all of us who hit this bug. I missed out on all XP for the first few hours of TWW.

Quick update: logged in for like 30 minutes this morning and the xp bar suddenly came back (logged in and out a few times last night and nothing).

Started getting xp

But all the quests, herbing/mining, and killing ended up in zero xp gained for the 2 or so hours i played last night.

My druid didn’t gain experience, she is an alt gatherer and I didn’t give it much importance. After a while I needed some Cataclysm herbs to craft something, I went to Infralar, raised the herbs and the XP and the bar began to appear. Solved.

Chromie will not offer my level 60 the option of choosing an expansion. He does not have an xp bar.

Edit to add: Did a follower dungeon. No xp buff appeared. Still no xp bar.

Everyone at lvl 70 who doesn’t gain XP should go to their factions Experience Eliminator, for Alliance it’s Behsten (https://www.wowhead.com/npc=35365/behsten), and check if the XP is locked. There’s a bug that randomly locks XP gain at lvl 70.

Went to see Slahtz, the experience eliminator in Orgrimmar. He gave my level 60 no options. My conclusion is that they are not going to be permitting level 60 accounts that have not purchased TWW to level up to 70.

I have TWW, have a 70, and went to Behest. I got no options to do anything. I have tried the follower dungeons, it doesn’t reset anything…am very frustrated with the new expansion.
