Dungeon finder helps immensely when leveling. The fact you can’t currently form groups for like well over 75% of leveling dungeons means we need it while leveling. Literally just did a /who in every dungeon pre tbc and it’s
4level 70s in sm with 16 other players (4 boosting groups?)
5 in stockades including 1 70
3 in zf with 2 being level 70 4 in brd and 3 of those are 70.
20 in Strath 10 are level 70 palis.
Literally looks like 0 legit groups.
Id understand not having it on launch because it came out later but 0 dungeon finder is a stupid idea. There is no community when it comes to wow dungeons and it was more or less a myth back in the day.

Honestly they should add in ToC at this point.
RDF was a massive boon to pirate servers. Blizzard needs to take a lesson on what works and what doesn’t

I personally don’t have a problem with it. Pugs got so toxic and full of selfish and greedy people, who would kick you from the group if you didn’t do what they wanted, that I stopped using them and found other ways to enjoy the game. As someone has pointed out, there’s no accountability in a pug and it’s my perception that the ‘modern’ playerbase appears to lack something called scruples. I’ve never seen the so-called ‘community’ police itself.
However, your mileage may vary. If there’s enough of a hue and cry, they will probably add it back in later. I’ve heard that they did that with some other feature they removed in one of the game versions.
LFD doesn’t really solve this.
Level 58 boost as a part in this and players who want to skip leveling too.
Even with LFD, if it faster to get boosted and allow them to not play the game they want to play, they will.
And, yes, being boosted is faster because even with crossrealm it doesn’t mean you’ll find a party for stockade in less than 2min.
This is a quote that should be put on a bronze plaque outside their HQ and theyre forced to read it every time they come in to work.
I agree. Realy realy hard to find the same level friends with same quests now. I have given up TBC because of this. Now i have to give up WLC now.
So boosting is better than dungeon finder. You either pay to Blizzard or to a mage.

It was toxic on private servers, having to carry people’s buddies, not being able to leave groups you do not want to be in because of the cooldown, having people AFK for extended periods of time and not being able to kick them because you reached your kick limit because one guy just kept wiping the group by pulling 3 extra groups. You guys are delusional.

They should revamp it a bit, yes. If someone goes afk you should be able to kick them after that 15m no matter what. The cooldown doesn’t stop people from bailing on BG’s and won’t in dungeons either. If the group is that bad then a 15m wait will be shorter than sitting in there continuing to wipe. The timer works for people farming an item and bailing when it doesn’t drop. Carries are a thing no matter what. I would say at least half of all groups in TBC today are a carry for someone anyway and that will never change.
I have to agree on this. There is no social aspect to paying a mage or paladin to boost your alts through VC/SFK, SM, Mara, Strat, and Slave Pens.
Players will gravitate to the META, Most Efficient Tactics Availible however social or anti social they may be.
Dungeon Finder at the least allows you to play your toon in the group setting instead of afk, watching tv and most likely paying for that boost with RMT bought gold. If you don’t like the boost META or LFD META that’s on you to run with a guild or sit in a city spamming chat. You be you.
I would far prefer to have LFD availible to queue from anywhere while questing or farming and enjoying playing the game instead of being stuck in a city spamming LFG channels and scrolling through an addon that is parsing chat channels. Neither of these are social or fun.
Please reconsider giving us LFD. It makes leveling alts 10x more enjoyable and this stinks of being a way to sell more 70 boosts.
For those that disagree on the social aspect that is 100% on you. It’s on YOU to engage with the group. The total lack of that engagement exists just as much in trade channel pugs and is reflective of the players. I’d be happy to see LFD limited to same realm, as I do talk to people and if someone makes an impression add to friends list and run with them again.
Denying LFD based on “lack of social interaction” is not a problem with LFD its a problem with those people that actively want to isolate themselves to their guild and clique in the game and not play with someone new!
