i understand the design choices of the original devs, but in this current year of 2021, no matter what game it is, classic, retail whatever… the game must have dual spec. period

I think that if Blizzard is willing to do anything in this area, it would simply be lowering the respec cost. Something like 1g or have the price reset each Tuesday along with the raid lockouts.
It would be a lot more effort to add dual spec when it already exists in Wrath.

It costs the amount of the daily heroic and normal dungeon (assuming a few drops to vendor, and the prison key) to respec. It’s not that terrible.

Because at least some of this watering down of the game is why many of the original players stopped playing WoW… and why they came back for classic.
On the contrary… Blizz should kill retail and just branch off after WotLK keeping all the good stuff like talent trees and useful professions and gear that doesn’t get shoved up ones b… until they cry halt! like it is in retail.
It’s pretty simple really. The changes that Blizzard is making for TBCC are generally fixes that help players actually play the game. Dual spec isn’t really necessary, but I don’t think it would hurt anything if added.

How’s that different from any other bad player in any other role? If fast and easy respeccing solved the tank problem, tanks wouldn’t be rare in modern MMO’s and in retail. It’s a thankless job. That’s why people don’t do it…generally.

Daily heroic → 25g
Daily Normal → 16g + Key (5-10g)
Total for two dungeons → 41-46g
This assumes you get 0 drops and spend all raw gold on repairs, which is incredibly unlikely. Primal nether is a bonus amount of gold by 50-100, and anyone who can DE items for you will make you even more.
There are also like 40g or so worth of midsummer quests available every day, and they don’t take long at all.
Fishing dailies → 10g
Cooking dailies → 8g
So for the two dungeons, cooking and fishing dailies… you’re at 480g a week in raw gold. If you did the torch toss, juggle and kill the dude in hellfire, you can add around 220 onto that, totaling 700g a week right now.
You can get the fishing, cooking and the three midsummer quests completed while looking for the dungeon or filling the dungeon group, so there is no time wasted as well.
This doesn’t even include things like bidding on void crystals at 1 copper, turning herbs into potions, or leather into boots, or prospecting, or any other AH flips that take almost no effort.
I don’t know, Gold can come at a very minimal effort through just keeping up on small things every day or every other day even.
… or if you have no time, literally twice a week for an hour and a half each

I will quit if they add dual spec and I will ask for a refund for the remaining time on my subscription.
I bet you had that consideration when they were giving 2 tokens for each bosses in T4 and T5.
What now? I haven’t paid attention to that. Can’t they just leave this game alone?
