This is pure absolute laziness. There is no lore justification for them to not be able to be druids. They were imbued with the magic of the Green Dragons and the Emerald Dream itself. Around 8 of Evoker spells specifically reference channeling the magic of the emerald dream.
The only reason for this is they don’t want to make new models, absolute laziness.
No… it’s simply not enough time to create assets for it.
Citation needed. With how fast they’re pushing this content and the fact they literally told us that druids, shaman and paladins would be some of the last to be given to other races due to assets… it’s not lazy. It’s prioritizing.

Ion has gone on record too saying he doesn’t see how races like Mechagnomes and Goblins could be druids. It may have once been their plan to add these classes to more races, but nothing has suggested they’re still working on that idea with Ion in charge now.
I don’t think anybody can. Those who are stating “all classes all races” are the biggest clowns I’ve seen where I’m also glad they’re not the ones writing the story.
And it’s an old topic that’s still being kicked.
Plenty of people who actually have an ounce of creativity in their body can, it’s okay if you’re not one of those people. Not everyone can be a writer.
Right now. You do realize that classes are trickled out as they have time and assets need to be created, right? In between creating a new expansion.

He’s been lead dev for quite a long time now… and we’ve had race/class combos released that make no sense.

Taurens are acceptable. The rest are not.
Probably not enough to warrant putting next expansion art assets on hold to make Druid ones. Not yet, at least.
There isn’t a single “pretty” option on the Horde for Druids or Shamans. AKA no Elves. Some people don’t care, but you’d be absolutely kidding yourself to think that Elves aren’t popular, and the Dracthyr share their model.
Make Blood Elf druids and I guarantee you a huge chunk of Horde druids would race change.
Elves sell, they’re the number one played Race Horde side and #2 Alliance, Most popular race in DND, most popular race in Bg3 etc.
You’re gonna have to give me a bigger excuse than that. This one isn’t.
You uh, know that’s not all there is to druids, right? Its a whole, cultural thing, plus the connection to ancient spirits which the Dracthyr kind of lack due to the whole. Locked away thing
Like, at the moment, there’s more lore justification for Earthen being druids than Dracthyr, because they have a druidic culture in 'em

There’s been nothing to suggest the alternative and given Tyrs Guard and the Primalists present easy “Paladins and Shamans for everyone”, plus there was some mention of druidic potential for atypical races in some of the Emerald Dream quests
I would be really pissed if Dracthyr got druids before Night Elfs were able to be Paladins. Night Elves already have everything needed… They would be a group of martial priests riding their sabers and using the lunar based “Light” for battle.
I would never be pissed if someone got something I wanted before me, as long as both things were coming eventually. Someone else’s happiness doesn’t ruin my own.
Class/race combo that doesn’t make sense checking in! 
Anyone who pigeonholes an entire race into a specific role is a bad writer.
Races can have culture, taboo’s and religious beliefs, but there will always be outliers, because people are individuals and not a hive mind.
Just because traditionally Orc culture is about fighting and honor, doesn’t mean there wouldn’t be some orcs who value Peace over war and live a pacifist life style.
The nelf pally in the class hall was a mistake. I don’t go around asking for playable dreadlord paladins.
First, you need a connection to the Emerald Dream. Then, you need a connection to the Wild Gods/Loa. And yes, culture plays a large role.
Dracthyr weren’t created to be Druids, per se. So while they are connected to the Green flight… I think it’s a foot in the door to open it up.
Pandaren have their foot in the door, as the Celestials are Wild Gods who just haven’t visited the Dream in ages. So for them, just have the Celestials go back to the Dream.
For the Dracthyr, have them spend some good amount of time in the Dream and find their connection to the Wild Gods.

Druids are #2 most-played, behind only hunters. No there is not a shortage.
I’m all for 100% class & race coverage, people can learn new skills that aren’t culturally ingrained. But this is not a dire urgency.
