I know my experience will definitely be defined by the timing of almost-irrelevant items being added to the game. As long as those items are properly added late enough that they have become completely irrelevant, then I can finally call this a true classic experience.

I agree to add the ring.
I find it very strange that DPS can get exalted and get the unstoppable force which is an incredible weapon for PvP but we can’t have the ring?

So if they don’t add the ring - the right thing to do is have the gear itemization/stat changes go live with the patch updates they were updated with.
meaning a bunch of stuff would be nerfed that people already have and it would progressively get better with the additional phases released…
not sure how or why blizz came to this decision. people are going to be complaining about the power creep of players having gear much better than obtainable anywhere else.

Every time someone brings up Vanilla WoW, the first thing that comes to mind … my fondest memory of those 2 years spent … is when they added Don Rodrigo’s band 1 year after it was already obsolete. I remember thinking “finally, an AV reward nobody needs anymore!” That was truly a special experience. I’m so glad the Classic team is recreating what was certainly the most game-defining moment in Vanilla. Good thing they didn’t release it early along with every other AV reward at an appropriate time when casters could actually get some use out of it,… otherwise the entire point of Classic WoW would be ruined.

When the original AV released with the current classic AV rewards there was no such thing as the Master Demonologist talent which gives SL locks 60 resistance to all spells.
Yet ANOTHER reason why this ring should be available now even though it wasn’t available at this point in vanilla. Or you could just remove the MD talent for now, you know like it was in Vanilla. Your choice.

Yeah man, I just did the same thing. Just hit exalted and I wish I saw this thread way sooner. I would not have gone so hard on AV if I knew it was like the ONLY item not available. Its crap.
