So I was doing Tek Rathan and used the shrieking quarts to summon the Nemesis dropped her to 50% and she ran leaving a loot box…no map inside.

According to wowhead, you need to be rank 2 on the delver’s journey track to loot maps, but the fact that you can use the summoning item prior to that or need to hover over a separate node of the delve interface to realize it is poor game design.

Ah I see thanks for the info, thats kind of a terrible change I wonder why they made it that much harder for solo players to get there measly 2 pieces of hero track gear a week…

It does indeed drop after rank 2. The design is horrible. And they messed up the original journey rewards for many which made it even worse. As a matter of fact, most the casual rewards in the game have been messed up. Like the capes dropping. Conspiracy theory: More people buying loot from raids = more token sales. Further, even though they “fixed” the cape reward after the fact, they likely will not fix players that did the timewalking. Well, let me rephrase. They will not fix the capes in a meaningful amount of time if it happens. They have corrected loot in the past but it took months.

I mean considering they just put out that public post about how ‘WoW Token is the only legal way to buy gold’ you might not be far off the mark there and yeah I’ve noticed the obvious shift in solo player rewards since the War Within started unfortunatly.
