No Dark Moon Fair in 2022?

Looking at the In Game Calendar, there is no DMF scheduled at all for 2022. Is this an oversight? Have they cancelled it?

Yeah it was cancelled. Some of the higher ups turned out to be old god servants in disguise and of course no fun allowed happened

i’ve finally aquired enough tickets via mini quests to get my purple blimp - i have like 6 or so items sitting in my bank…hope it comes soon, it should have been here this weekend :cry:

all the dolphins left and thanked us for the fish...or...it could be the next expansion raid. Rollercoaster boss, flappy bird boss, strongest female warrior, fastest at mario kart, and finally finish with a singing contest

Sadly, the fair is a victim of the global downturn. Not enough players left to justify the cost of the fair upkeep, so the old gods shut it down.

That and the global pandemic hurt business, guess wearing a mask wasn’t as fun as we thought when we were kids.

It was a hit with the Defias though, so there is that I guess.

Unfortunely due to rectangle crawling at the zoo the darkmoone staff is occupied with other things and can not operate the faire grounds until a specified date.

Isn’t Silas Darkmoon under investigation for violating labor laws right now? That and other allegations.

They decided darkmoon was not PC, so it’s getting a remodel and name change, planetary aligned Faire.

Given that I’ve finally resolved to, for the first time since the inception of the faire, actually do the rep on a character, I assume this means one of 2 things:

  1. In approximately 2 months they’re going to just give everyone full faire rep, or
  2. They’re removing the faire entirely.

Its getting a small update in 9.2 so its not being scrapped.

Crap. Midnight Pacific Time, Sunday morning and no Darkmoon Faire. Hoping it’s just somebody forgot to flip a switch.

Obviously, the labor shortage that has unfolded in the wake of the pandemic has now spread to Azeroth. Carnies refusing to show up for work unless wage and benefit demands are met. Or at least until they can get free Darkmoon dogs for lunch.

But seriously, how slack is it that no one has addressed this? The DMF is one of my favorite events. Not so much as a peep from TPTB. They really don’t care about this game at all.
