If you have a friend you can trust you can do it but no cross realm mail for some reason

Actually stupid. So we can trade cross realm but cant mail crossrealm. So we have to trade to a third party to trade to our crossrealm alts? Like why? Just let us mail crossrealm. Why does blizzard have to overcomplicate things?

The intent was to make playing with people from other servers easier. As in, you do a dungeon with friends from another server but, as it was you couldn’t give them any of the gold or lesser items from that dungeon. Now presumably you can.
Opening up mailing cross realm might be a step too far at this time. Not to say it won’t eventually happen, but maybe not right now.

Not enabling cross-realm mail makes no sense. Now it’s hugely advantageous (even more than before) to have two accounts because you’ll be able to do cross-realm arbitrage with non-stackable items. That’s prob good for Blizz but not for most players

If anything you’d think they’d do account sharing before they did cross account sharing, in terms of packing order of how things would function logically.

It is not weird, they want you to have second account to trade with your alts. Pretty neat tbh

The purpose of the change was specifically for that so people could do more than just trade consumables in groups cross faction. It was never meant for our army of alts to screw over BMAHs and the like. That you need to get creative to do.

Yeah, god forbid we put a stop to the person’s business who RMT’s themself as a mule to transfer stuff between other peoples alts for them as a paid side service to bypass mail or people without friends.
if you could cross mail it will hurt economies of certain realms, also the bots would have a hay day farming dead severs and selling on the high pop servers, we do not need to encourage more botting.

Only if you use a middle-man (would need to be someone you can trust), they enabled cross-realm trade not mail. This was likely to allow cross-realm raiders to share consumables, contribute to cauldron / feast costs, etc.
If that were the case, you wouldn’t be cross faction mailing your alts right now.
That Pandora’s box is functionally open anyways, a second account isn’t a big deal for most treasure goblins.
They should just merge all auction houses at this point.
