While Iād be pro pushing CRBGās to CP6, they will happen at some point, and I think Blizzardās probably being smart about putting them earlier, so that at least the PVP side of things doesnāt experience the wave and trough effect that content releases do.

As much as we Vanilla enthusiasts love our communities on the server, it was the worse feeling in the world when you waited at least over half an hour to join a battleground. Then you realized you joined a game thatās about to end within 1 minute and you just filled the fool who rage quit.

On a good server with a healthy PvP community and decent faction ratio non CRBGs are ideal. But the fact is like 50% of servers are either going to have faction imbalances. Not just the population, but the ratio of hardcore players, PvP enthusiasts and totally uninterested players all massively shape how long ques are and how likely you are to win. I would rather they average the experience over a group of servera than leave servers to stagnate and die because BGs are so one-sided.

nah buzz off. you donāt speak for all players. thereās a good chunk of us that donāt want CRBGs because of how cancerous it is.
You thought LFD was bad for the game? How are CRBGs any different?

Cross BGās really hurt the server community aspect. I love being on a server or BG and actually recognizing names.
On the other hand most medium or low pop servers will have hour long queues for battlegrounds. Pick your poison.

You get that in Battle Groupsā¦ BG9 was the best all others sucked. Stuff like that.
The negatives of CRBGs are far outweighed by the negatives of server only BGs.
That being saidā¦ we dont know how many servers we are going to getā¦ the totals should be Classic Battle Group numbers likeā¦

not really. You might recognize heavy pvpers trying to rank up but rarely will you see people from your server. The pool is too big and random ranks of people donāt mean as much.

Server only BGs dramatically limit their accessibility, particularly at non-peak hours.
Just set it up in some priority order in the queue such as your server first > a short list of realms you think are good companion realms, similar to how battlegroups worked > all other realms. That way youāre more likely to see the same people when they happen to be online and queuing at the same time you are, but you arenāt limited to those people only and can still enjoy the game at other times.
